I'm going for a tinahely st pats final in the senior. That does mean I think baltinglass will get eliminated at the group stage. Blessington are dark horses for this years championship in my opinion. Valleymount to lose by astronomical amounts to all teams in their group.

Intermediate will be a clara enniskerry final. With clara winning. Coolkenno aren't good enough at football to get to another final, if it was wrestling maybe!

St Nicholas should beat st pats second team in the junior final.

Should be some excellent games in prospect, but unfortunately a lot of mismatches too!

My tuppence worth on who I think will be the winners in each section, however I sense some sour grapes there Bridalceoil... dont' think any team goes out to play wrestling!! Harsh words!!

Hey magpie, definitely not any sour grapes here. But when they go out to "do a job" on players and "stop them at all costs", in their words, it's not football they're going out to play!

IMO - Too early for St Patrick's - maybe next year.
Clara for Intermediate if Miley's stay fit.
St Nicholas will win Junior with AGB challenging.

Well if the referee is doing their job right all that would be played on the pitch was football. Obviousley if a team has a very strong player that dictates the game most teams would have a 'game plan'. However no referee would allow any 'wrestling' to go on in a match!

That's what you'd think alright magpie, but it is wicklow we're in after all!

Some ball hop Bridal - I've viewed your previous posts and now realise you've some chip on your shoulder - you've obviously attended matches but are seeing things through strange classes - I've never seen any team with an "agenda" to "take" out good players. This persistant fouling would be pulled by the referee with the resultant penalty - You're entitled to have your opinion as much as I'm entitled to disagree and we will agree to differ as we definitely won't agree - I'm not returning to this as it's just untrue.

You're right, we're both entitled to our own opinions. Obviously we both are differing but heard from a blessington person that they also had the same problems with them last week too and the standards of refereeing. But I suppose that's just also coincidence. Anyone got any upto date league tables?

I certainly think the time has come for referees assessors - A lot of the referees are doing both codes which I believe is a disaster. I think progress is likely on this front in the early future

Eagles, You're idea is good - but Wicklow LGFA lacks the volunteers.
