If Glynn wins more frees( which I have my doubts) the reason is Skilful players are fouled more. A fact of field sports. Nothing to do with refs or soft frees. I suspect you struggled to cope with Glynn so it was easier to blame the ref.

Any repports from last night? Who is/was involved in the management this year? I know i saw this in previous posts but can't recall.

They were very unlucky to be beaten, thought they were neck and neck with Laois up till the second goal went in. They needed to be more cynical, the ref wasn't giving any cards for dragging and pulling down, Wicklow had all the momentum when Laois scored the second goal, had a man been fouled when he broke through a gap Wicklow would have been one point down with 7 minutes to go.

I have to say I couldn't understand some of the decisions on the line, the Laois corner forward scored 3-8 and they didn't make a change on him till his marker was injured? Gary Allen from Dunlavin started at 11 and looked like he was in real trouble for the whole game, didn't look near being fit enough to play he's been injured for Dunlavin this year. Peter Manning the big lad who was playing around the half forward line against Longford didn't get on, they could have put him in full forward to try something different to snatch a goal.
It's a shame because there was some really good players in a Wicklow Jersey last night and I think that team had potential to have reached a semi as they would have been playing Kildare who've struggled this year

Thanks Victorious87. Very dissapointing that management failed to deal with their main forward. From what I heard, he was very impressive in Meath also, so it's something they should have been aware of.

There's a young lad Aaron Curran on that team that didn't get played either game, I really thought he should have been put on him, he's not as good a footballer at this moment in time as the player who started but he's a dog of a back really hard working think he should have been tried

It sounds like they put up a good show last night so there is some grounds to be optimistic about the future, the score line makes it look like it was one sided but that doesn't appear to have been the case - are many of the current squad eligible for next year? as we need to build on the work that is currently being put in at this level. I would also like to see a bit of continuity at management level, if the current management can be left in place, all the better, they will need to learn from last night when making changes but it is a process that needs to be built upon, not scrapped or forgotten about till next March or April, otherwise, players will drift away to play other sports or do other things.

I think the majority of the team will be overage next year. I think they could do with keeping the trainers and selectors but as a specatator there didn't seem to be any clear game plan, Laois' was to play direct ball to the two corner forwards and get men running off them. Wicklow let Laois play their game and just worked really hard, nearly payed off but that doesnt work at county level

I was at the game and Wicklow could of easily won the game,it was 50/50 and Moore did alot of damage scoring 3-8 but they did change the man on him after 5 mins of the game so peope are wrong on that.Would have to agree that the wicklow number 11 looked a good bit off and should of came off alot earlier. It was a decent display and it was full throttle by both teams, very attacking and an enjoyable game of football
