Colleges A. Two huge games for Wexford schools

(Oldest Posts First)

Two huge matches now. Good Counsel have Knockbeg in the quarter final. Tough game. And a huge match where St Peter's take on Colaiste Eoin who had a huge win in their last match. Anyone at the second round games played over the last few days?

hurlorhurley,i agree with you,its great to see so many teams flying high and hopefully one will win leinster at least.it will be tough to win but definitely a possibility.
combined football team can only be a positive thing,i am starting to see a bit of unity from all sides in wexford gaa and we have a county big enough to sustain both if we manage it properly which is great.
nobody will ever nor will ever want to play both, but at school level if a player wants to play top level hurling or football or both, let em at it!

Anyone know why St.Peters v Good Counsel game is in WIT and not a Wexford venuse?

I'm very undecided regarding combined colleges teams. The likes of Gorey CS are as big as, if not bigger than Good counsel or Peter's, yet are no use- why is that? Is it just laziness on the part of their PE dept?

I hope though that managers of underage teams realise the difference now between Colleges A level and the rest. I remember going forward for county minor hurling and football and selectors thinking some lad who'd scored a few points for a team in a low competition being great lads when in reality they wouldn't be anywhere near a Peter's or Counsel team.

Wet pitches loads of rain, not many pitches with lights, WIT has an astro with lights so I would assume that would makes it pretty obvious

Good Counsel through, St Peter's took a bit of a beating. Hopefully Good Counsel can get another win and get into the final.
