St Stephens Day Charity Run

(Oldest Posts First)

Calling all Gaels, on Sunday the 26th December (St Stephens's day) there will be a fun run / walk up the Divis Mountain. The run / walk will be part of the Geraldine White and Gary O'Callaghan Perpetual trophy fundraising effort which is in aid in aid of cancer research. For the last 3 years Rossa footballers have played Moy footballers (match this year will be 2pm Rossa Pk Monday 27th December) in aid of this worthy cause, so this year we have decided to extend the fundraising efforts to include the run / walk.

On the day of the run / walk we will be asking for a small donation. Last year we had over 60 participants from at least 7 different GAA clubs in the city, this year we would like to at least match this and if the weather was kind to us we would love even more people to turn up. We would suggest that you come and support this worthy cause. The run or walk is approx 5 km and will be starting from the cark park on top of Divis, across to the stone and back. We want to assemble at 10.45am and hope to start at 11am.

I hope you can take part in this fun run / walk and would ask you to pass the information on to as many people as possible.

On Monday 27th the Senior Football match is preceded at 1pm by a Ladies football match also versus the Moy. Monday's football will be followed by a Folk Night in Rossa featuring the talented Conor Blayney. Get to Rossa House early on Monday evening (27th Dec) as the place was pumping last year!
