I heard that there is a meeting coming up that will decide whether to put senior clubs second teams into a seperate division. This would leave the Intermediate and Junior A grades with clubs not having to compete against senior clubs second teams.

From what I know

The Top 8 in this year's Division 1 (so from Kiltegan upwards) remain in Division 1 and play each other home & away in 2014
The next 6 down plus the two from Division 2 (Coolkenno & An Tochar) form a new Division 2 or Division 1A that play each other home & away too

This year's Division 2 with the 12 teams in it, remains as is.

After that, I dunno

We will never have a structure in place as long as clubs will only agree if it suits themselves. Look at the meeting last week where a proper structure for championships was proposed and as usual clubs started squabbling.

So at this stage does anybody know how the Leagues are shaping up for next year? The top 8 are staying put but from there down what happens? What about the bottom 2 in Div 1, and the top 2 in Div 2, who goes where?

Top 2 in Div 2 will go into 1B and bottom 2 in Div 1 go into Div 2. It's not rocket science.

What happened to the idea of Reserve Leagues for Club 2nd & 3rd teams with Intermediate & Junior Clubs playing in their respective leagues?

No_Drama,
Supposedly there was a committee being chaired by the Co Vice Chairperson looking at structures.
1 area was a Reserve League for 2nd and 3rd teams, allowing Junior & Intermediate playing against their
respective 1st teams only. It happens in a lot of other Counties.

Is this part of the football review that was done?? If it is are they the same recommendations that are up for ratification at next CB meeting?? I am hearing both negativity and positivity about these proposals and am told it will be a struggle to get agreement for any change as clubs dig heels in to protect their own advantage.
