No need to be getting too worked up about this championship until late November if last year is anything to go by.

County Senior Football Championship:
Arravale Rovers defeated Loughmore/C in Group 3 of the Clean Ireland Recycling County SFC and in the process qualified straight for the quarter finals. This is the fourth year in a row that Arravale Rovers have qualified for the County quarter finals although it is the first time since the new format was introduced in the competition they have topped their group. Loughmore/C will now go into the preliminary quarter final.
Liam McGrath gave Loughmore/C an early advantage when he goaled from a penalty. Donagh Leahy looked to have given Arravale Rovers a one point lead at the break when he goaled just before half time but a late Cian Hennessy point saw the sides go in level at the break.
Loughmore/C got an early advantage when Brian McGrath finished a well worked move to the back of the Arravale net. Arravale Rovers responded well with points from Bryan Lowry (who finished with five points in total) and James Hogan to go two points in front a lead they would not surrender as both sides traded points as they battled it out to the end with Arravale Rovers securing a two point victory.

On Saturday night Aherlow Gaels got their second win in this year's competition when they defeated Dom/Inch in Cashel by five points.

Super win for Clonmel today. I'm not sure if the match in London in two weeks is a good thing or a bad thing. That won't be an easy match for them but it would be very disappointing if they don't win it. If they do win it they will play Portlaoise or Ballyboden next. No easy games from now on if they want to go any further in the competition.

Well done Clonmel. Great to see new blood!. Keep it going. Some semi finals with Mitchells and Crossmaglen on the other side.
