Eoin Kelly-Retiremwnt

(Oldest Posts First)

Wishing Eoin all the best on his retirement. We in Limerick had men who often contained him but he was always the Tipp forward we feared the most. A true hurling star and exemplary in his conduct on and off the field

Thanks Oldtourman. He was easily one of our best forwards ever. Some of his displays were amazing to watch. 2006 I think it was against Limerick in Thurles stands out, he scored 14 points that day. I flicked through the all-Ireland replay match programme at the weekend and noticed he was top scorer in the 2009 and 2011 finals.

He will be seriously missed from the dressing room because he was a great leader and driver of standards whether he started or only came on for 10 minutes at the end. We'd love to see him give it one more go but his powers are not what they used to be :(

Have a great retirement Eoin and thanks for giving us so many happy memories.

An absolute Living Legend. Every Tipp game from 2001 onwards pre match discussion was how would Eoin Kelly play today or how much would he score. Miss will that plus his awesome performances.
No better man to lead us to the holy grail in 2010 and was thrilled he got to captain the team and lift Liam in Croke Park.
So many memories live long in the memory.
Listing them here would cause my keyboard to go into overdrive.
