Dan Breen I think we can now rule Eamon O Shea out the stories that are doing the rounds about this current bunch of Tipp players are not pretty and if true well we may be waiting along time for another all Ireland.

No that I have calmed down or something close to it after the debacle of the semi. Do you think we were hasty in calling for Declan's head, yes he made a balls of the kk match but he has no chance to atone for it which must really hurt him.

Not hasty at all. He wasnt the correct option and we need a fresh man with new ideas for next year

After the semi all I wanted was for Declan to be gone, however after hearing for a fact about the carry on of the players and what they are getting up to no manager in the world could of done any better even if the tactics were crazy on the day, not suppose to been the managements call either but that we will never know for sure. The carry on the Monday after the defeat to KK was the nail in the coffin for some of this current bunch of players and some of them will never see a county jersey again. What was happening in this county set up was a joke and feel sorry for a certain amount of the panel who took it serious and went home after training unlike a certain bunch of the panel.

Realtmo can u enlighten us a bit more as to the carrying ons? Im not lookin for names but just an idea of what this behaviour was??

I've been a big critic of Ryan n dunne as a mgt team but I'll never forget what fantastic players they were for tipp n it would be a shame if others did so. If the stories you heard are reliable then Ryan n dunne deserve that the public understand what they had to put up with.

Everyone ridicules Steve Staunton for his mgt of Ireland and its been a long time since I've heard him being referred to as the 100+ capped player who was a great performer n leader for Ireland not just a bad mgr!

semplestadium it would not be approved by mods if I was to put it all up, I will try post it after this but Declan is doing what he thinks is best for the county and keeping his mouth closed on the whole issue trying to keep a united front for the sake of Tipperary hurling, if Babs was the manager I would have no doubt that there would not be another sports story on the papers only all this about some of the players. I was never a huge fan of the management team either always kind of lacked that drive that the last set up had but now I know why. Its a great shame that another bunch of talented Tipp hurlers will only win one all Ireland.

From what I hear it may have been related to an incedent at the turn of the year but what ever its about it must be left behind the management have now gone and when the new management come in they MUST be able to start with a clean sheet nothing must stand in their way there is no reason to start stiring anything leave it rest

JC I am talking about facts here with players after training this is the least of it as the more serious stuff would not make it passed mods just read some of westsides piece on the paper from the week after the game and he has bits of what is happening phrased very well. I for one will have to think about spending my cash following this team next year maybe after a long winter I may feel different but after following my county for over 25 years this has left a bitter taste.

JC it can't be swept under the carpet like u suggest! That is lettin the culprits away with it! If their actions are defendable then they can defend themselves if not they deserve to be outed! Mgt team can't start with a clean slate if this stuff isn't stamped out.

I heard of 2 serious incidents during the year involving separate individuals but I'm not aware of anything that was more of a cultural thing as realtmo suggests!

you have not stated anything involving the players misbehaving or misconducting themselves, all you have done is repeated yourself on how they were at fault twice with out giving any sort of explanation or examples,, have you attachments to the management team and therefore trying to deflect blame from them solely onto the players?? no one is asking you to drop names only give some meaningful input rather then the general its all the players fault retro

sincere thanks

arravale I have tryed to post it a good few times about what is happening and it has not made it passed mods, all of it has been edited out. I have no such attachment to management as you have suggested. In fact in all my early post after the kk match I was blaming the management, far from it now.

Im not saying it should be swept under the carpet The old management have gone and that was their problem
We should now get on with thes earch for a new manager and he will be fully informed and be able to make his own decisions so leave the past behind for his sake
