tipp losing 0-10 to 1-3 at halftime. Mayo had a strong wind in the first half. We did well to close the gap after being 8pts down at one stage.
2nd half just started

Tipp minors defeated the Kerry Minors twice yet Kerry still find themselves in an All Ireland Semi. Tipp have 1 Off Day & are out. slightly unfair

Unfortunately ormandebannerman that's the way it goes! Don't think it's unfair because no matter what format any championship takes there will always be some area someone can pick as being not fair! Cant really see what changes could be made. Tipp still have a trophy at this stage, while Kerry don't!

Most important thing, despite this result, is we realise what this team n mgt have done for football in tipp. Obviously one minor can't support a serious senior team but they have given football a great profile in tipp now and a platform for bigger n better things into d future! Fair play to them all.

I know thats the way it goes but every team that loses in their province gets a 2nd chance so why shouldnt the provincial champions?
Yes hopefully we can build on football in tipp and improve it throughout the county. Like there is many many countys esp in the north where football is not looked at at all
Yes whatever format there is people will complain but giving provincial champs wouldnt have that many complaints would it?

Nothing to do with the format lads we just had to many dual players and it looked like burn out, this seem to be the word coming from the camp.

But where does the 2nd chances stop ormandebman? If tipp got to AI final or semi and lost should it be replayed? In provincial you get a 2nd chance to win it and in the AI series it's knock out. Best format there can be I think, remember all these counties matches effect every club team as well from u16 up to senior! We have to be fair to every player, I know I probably won't play for my club at least 8 weeks if Tipp beat KK. There comes a stage where enough is enough for 2nd chances.

Very disappointing, especially the margin of the defeat. But sure look a lot of these youngs lads have 2 munster titles and an all-ireland title which is an amazing achievement. They still beat Kerry twice and Cork once this year, hopefully our under 21 team will be strong and David Power will learn from this.
