This is true. I believe they are selling them in Lar Na Pairce in Thurles from now.

Well done.
4 in 40 yrs....a great football tradition and putting KK in the shade on the humble winners front.
I'd love to go to the u21 final but a repeat of trying to get out of a carpark in the home of hurling at 10pm the evening of the league final with 2 kids. No thanks!
Fool me twice shame on me.
No doubt CCCCC is springing a favor for the Tipp GAA who are up to their necks in debt..Win it fair or don't bother winning it at all.

Nobody from Galway is saying we dont want to play in Thurles. Galway have a good record in Thurles and it suits our style of play. If you cant see the logic behind our case for not playing an all ireland final in another county's home ground then you need your head checked. Its so typical of a Tipp supporter to resort to petty slagging about us not wanting to play ye on your own patch. And ye wonder why most neutrals would have been happier to see Kilkenny win 5 in a row than ye winnin one!!..Up Galway

Thurles was put down as the venue for the U21 finals for the next 5 years and Galway voted for this so I cannot see de probelem. Note also that Tipp were willing to play in aneutral venue. It doesn't matter anyway cos the demolition only proved that it would not have changed the result if it was in a neutral venue. if it wa 4 or 5 points I would say something but this was a hammering.

The Dubs playing in Croker is not the same as Tipp playing in Thurles. The Dubs do all their training in Parnell Park so that argument is fruitless. Bottom line is that Tipp would have beaten Galway anywhere in the U21 but that is hardly the point. Never unless by prior arrangement between two counties is a national final played on the training home of one of the participants. These are the facts. Tipp thank god have given the hurling campaign this year a breath of fresh air and fully deserved their successes. However the GAA authorities have a lot to answer for and while they continue to try to centralise hurling around the traditional few counties they will never make an impact of any note in trying to spread the game in weaker hurling counties. Football because it is more 'global' will always be ahead on that score and ultimately will be more attractive among the majority.
