Tickets for the Final

(Oldest Posts First)

Just wondering what other clubs are doing for the tickets? Our club is having a draw (the same as last year). My biggest problem with this is that the gaa clubhouse will be packed full of sunshine supporters who are just up for the final. It is so annoying when the loyal supports who have attended all the games are left without tickets or having to find tickets elsewhere. It is not a fair system by any means. Am i right in saying that our allocation of tickets for the final depends on how many tickets the club bought all year? If this is the case the loyal supporters should get the tickets first.

My own club have never had a draw for tickets. We got about 100 tickets and I can assure you that no club has 100 !workers". Requests for over 150. 1st thing done is to axe those looking for 3 or 4 back to 1. Then the sunshine guys are last to be looked after. Long may it continue this wayDuring the year a club should be noting those who are working for the club and look after these guys.

If only every club done the same everything would be a lot easier for the genuine fans.

I can't understand this with clubs they have a record to who they gave tickets to throughout the year hence people who took tickets for all games should get preference.... If there still isn't enough then have a draw with just these people involved.

I got the season ticket this year HAG_AND_CHEESE. In the league, I got to the KK,DUB,GAL and Cork game. Got to all championship so far (except Wexford, where I forgot my season ticket :/ and paid into the town end ). Like many others, my job got into difficulty so hours changed and matches were just not possible. I emailed the GAA my situation. No reply.
I was refused a final ticket.
I am not saying I live and die for Tipp, but along with the league games and challange matches I attended, I am better than alot going to the final this Sunday. 75Euro down the drain to be honest. All those other games were a shoe in to get tickets, the final, NOPE.
Thank god I got a ticket anyway for the final from a mate, but I wouldn't rely on that gimmick of a season ticket.

I'd query that if I were you that's more than 60% of the games!!!

It'd good if you can use it....I missed the dublin and cork matches in the league due to exams but gave my card to a mate so just missed the one really then..... I suppose seen as tipps allocation of season tickets is now 750 I suppose it even harder to get the all-ireland ticket now!!!!

Good to hear you got a ticket and hope your ok jobwise now too.
