Cork Hurling Champions

(Oldest Posts First)

I saw a large number of players from Blackrock National Hurling Club using David Moran hurls from Rathdrum as they won their first senior hurling championship since 2002

Great to see an unexpected Wicklow connection to one of the most successful hurling clubs in Ireland

I seem to remember being told a few years back that David's younger brother had transferred to Cork and was hurling with Blackrock. His name eludes me. He was a fine hurler for both Wicklow and his club Avondale, if memory serves.

Is it Johnny Moran you are talking about? Would be in his forties at this stage....

I have been informed that it was Dennis. I think Johnnie may have hurled a bit in Wexford in his latter playing years.

Well done to all at Moran hurls. Always quality sticks.
