New Strip

(Oldest Posts First)

Does anyone know when the current deal with Azzurri is due to end?
We've had the same strip for a couple seasons now and I'm sure that we are due a change

Must have been a long time since you seen a game, we left azzuri in 2013!

We have been wearing O'Neills now for a couple of years, in fact there might be a new jersey next year. Is it every 2 years that we change jerseys?

Course it's O'Neil
Was in the process of putting my shirts back in the cupboard and it was the Azzurri that was in me hand.
I liked the Azzurri strip
If any Moderator wants to edit my first post and correct my miss print I would be grateful LOL

Not sure if it's next year or the year after.

Kerry have a new jersey this season after three years with the previous one.
Galway are on their third season with the current jersey.
Dublin had their 2013 jersey for just one season, but had the previous one for three years.
Mayo's last jersey lasted three years.
Cork are on their third year with the current strip.

Three seasons seems to be the standard, with the Dublin 2013 one being the exception. Going by that, we'll be wearing the same strip next year, and changing in 2017. But I don't know for sure.

Generally with donegal it's two years. we had the last azzurri one for two years and we had the one before that for 2 and the one before that. I dont know is that azzurri's decision or Donegal county boards though. O'Neills could be different

So, I take it everyone's seen the new strip for 2016? What are everyone's thoughts on it?

Personally, I like it. The one we had from 2014-2015 was classic, but this is a nice follow up, with the green sleeves and the stripe across the chest.

The first time I saw it I thought it didn't look great but I am getting more used to it now. It is quite a change with the big green strip across the front, more like our jerseys from the 80's for anyone old enough to remember. I did like our last jersey.

I'm still not sold on it yet. It sort of reminds me of a club jersey rather than a county jersey.

Not sure you have the hang of this forum business.

This is a thread about the new strip, if you think it's nonsense then avoid it, there is another thread about the Donegal Down game.

Hope this helps.

Liking the look of it myself as well I must say after seeing it on Sat night. Some of the training gear is decent too.

yeah the jersey looks allot better when your winning by 17 points.
I think it'll grow on us. I didn't like the all yellow jersey either when it came out.

The training top is really nice
