Agreed. Losing 3 starting players can be crippling. Never even thought about the other 2 boys. Following Twitter reports yesterday I believe its a calf and back injury that they have. Hope its not too serious and that they can get back in action soon.

I see Casey O,Brien is calling for common dense from Refs and I agree with him,we have had some very poor ones.I can't comment on Leighton Glynn's red card as I couldn't get to the game.I do know Fergal Horgan is one of the best up and coming young Refs in the game and is very highly thought off in his native Tipperary and at National level. He has reffed under 21 B Final,Minor final, several senior Qualifiers,Munster Championship games at all levels,he was also the Ref involved when,Hawkeye was wrongly reset in Croker and and gave the wrong information resulting in Galway winning a game in,extra that they should have lost in normal time.I stated here last week that discipline would be paramount for Wicklow hurling. We have lost a player in our last two games which have cost us,although in my opinion I think we would have lots St them even with a full compliment of players on the field,l.Kerry on Sunday is another big ask but it should give us a better indication of where we are, personally I think it will come down to the London game to decide relegation.

"You have to use common sense. Okay, it was a little jab back but your man wasn't brought off to hospital or anything."

So it takes a man to be brought to hospital before the other player deserves a red card!!!!!! Sums up Wicklow!!!!!

It's a figure of speech wicklowrunner. My god you do love getting your digs in at Wicklow. But sure isn't everything perfect in your own native Tyrone

Onlywayisup, I don't love getting digs in. I highlight disciplinary problems in Wicklow - which people don't like. Striking with the Hurl is a red card offence. Spokespeople for Wicklow GAA should be more careful what they say to the Media. Condoning red card offences is not "a figure of speech". "Figure of speeches are irresponsible" when speaking on behalf of your County.
Tyrone isn't free from disciplinary problems like most Counties. But they do deal with with them when they arise like most counties.

Without trying to stir up a debate, this is purely for honest information, but when was the last time we seen a player get a straight red on a televised Senior A Inter County game for a similar ofence? I know striking with the Bas of the hurl has been awarded with a straight red but I cant honestly remember the last time a jab of the hurl has been penalised so heavily. I personally don't condone striking in any form but it seems to me that there wasnt a whole lot in it and was a very harsh card. Again, I didn't see it, only going by reports. Also, it states that Leighton was struck over the head, isn't that a red card offence?

How come you never highlight poor refereeing decisions then wicklowrunner. I'm not sure on your expertise on hurling but if what Glynn did deserved a red card then there will be four sent off when the ball is thrown in at the start of a game.

Wicklow really struggled from the onset in the match. Before the ball was thrown in there had been a number of changes to the team that lined out. Between suspensions and injuries there was no Leighton, Chester or Kearns playing. Lee was back from the injury he sustained last week. Wicklow went down to 13 men but neither offence was a straight red so at least the players will be back the next day. Lee was the first player off but not sure of the second man that was sent off, didn't see it.
Kerry were very strong all over the field and their movement up front caused mayhem to our backs. On top of that, we had poor touch, control and some huge amount of errors that helped Kerry get on top of us early. Some players really put the effort in right to the end and tried hard but it seemed others just weren't on the same page. We didn't appear to give the same support to each other as the Kerry men were doing. They were attacking in waves with always a player running off the shoulder making the option where as Wicklow were not doing that and when we did lay the pass off there was no one there looking for it. Kerry made it look easy but they would with the extra players. Even with 15 I don't think we would of got a result, we were just not as sharp as Kerry. I was so impressed with their support play from their back line to the scoring range and we just could not deal with it.
Didn't see Casey on the line either? We need to work hard now for the next game and hopefully grind out a result.

I usually follow the live feed on Twitter because whoever runs it is generally very good but there has been no coverage for the last 2 matches. Maybe they were covering the football but I didn't see many updates for that either. Went down to Arklow for the game and although we didn't come out with any points, it was a 100% improvement from the last game against Kerry. Very tough division for the lads that will stand to them in the overall scheme of things and prep them for the championship. Threatened for goals so many times but were so unlucky and had a huge amount of wide's that frustrated the lads on the field more than those in the stand. Great to see Kearns and Chester back but still no Leighton, must be injured?

Sunday or Saturday? I think we will come out with a result this weekend. I hate being over confident in the fear of jinxing the boys but I really feel they will have too much over 70 mins for Meath and we at least get one up on them before we meet them for the football.

Anyone going to St.Lomans today would be well advised to bring wet gear.no cover for spectators worse than Aughrim, and that's saying something.Good luck to the Lads.

Once again discipline has been an issue, are we ever going to learn, straight red cards are not an option. How many have Wicklow picked up this year ?.We wouldn't have won anyway with 15 players Meath were better all over the field, faster, fitter, more skillful I fear for Wicklow hurling going forward.
