Wasted my time writing a post questioning the comments of Wicklowfinest/intheback as it seems to have been censored. Very sweeping comments that could be levelled at any club based on their personal experience. For example I've witnessed serious indiscipline from the St Pats club at various levels from quite young up to senior level including the shocking scenes at the Co. Final but to label the whole club a disgrace would be an sweeping, generalising, probably inaccurate statement.

What was the outcome of the disciplinary meeting Tuesday night?

Apollo13 - obviously your already on a different planet and indeed time zone - I believe the Junior B final is on tomorrow in Aughrim. Baltinglass may well win it but I think its a bit disingenuous to congratulate them so early.

Congratulations to Baltinglass on running out convincing victors yesterday. A nice blend of youth and experience in all the right areas, credit must be given to the town who now have 3 teams now competing at Senior, intermediate and Junior A grade.

Great credit....get a grip. A great club like Baltinglass taking pleasure in winning a Junior B Championship.....how the mighty have fallen? Leave the Junior celebrations to the smaller clubs and focus on competing with Pats and Rathnew. Baltinglass are getting more and more like Blessington, a soft underbelly. What is it, 1 Senior Championship in 21 years now? Am I correct? No wonder the county is doing so badly when a great club like Baltinglass are struggling to win Senior Championship. But, at least they won a Junior B championship over the weekend. I think Blessington won the Junior C championship last year!!! Its a sad sad situation!!!

Great Scott Ed007, you've found the underlying reason for our poor performances of our county team. It's down to Blesso and Balto not focusing on their senior teams. But hold on, didn't they both have more representatives on the county panel than our current champions? Something not adding up with your theory?

Secondly, I was at the semi-final of the Junior B and it appeared Balto had a fair amount of promising youngsters on the panel. What a great advertisement for them to strive to play for our county, coming on here to see you belittling their achievement. We need more of you in this county!

Neutral fan, I wouldn't brag about having more representatives than the champions on the county panel. maybe that's why Wicklow is currently at the bottom of the pile.

Don't see how that would be a reason. Either way, I wasn't bragging, merely pointing out Ed's inaccuracies.

I don't believe it appropriate for clubs with large membership numbers and inherent pedigree such as Baltinglass should be boasting about winning a Junior B Championship and claiming that it's great that they have three teams in different grades. That was the fundamental point. Is that the new benchmark for a great club like Baltinglass. Maybe it is and Maybe I'm wrong! Maybe Baltinglass will win a Junior A next year and that will be perceived as a 'great achievement'. Wake up and see the bigger 'accurate' picture.

Leave the Junior celebrations to the smaller clubs and focus on competing with Pats and Rathnew
Would you not be more concerned that the smaller clubs are not even able to compete with Balto/Blesso's third team? As far as I am aware, both Balto and Blesso have been competing with Rathnew over the last number of years. Only them 2 clubs (along with Pats) have competed. No one else on a consistent basis. I also don't see in any above posts, anyone boasting about winning the championship. Merely defending the stinking negative attitude that you are bringing to the forum. Note, there is another thread on here about progressing ones club? Do you think Balto/Blesso should disregard all other teams and solely concentrate on winning senior? Do you honestly think that's the best way forward? Do you think, maybe that's where the likes of Kiltegan, Shilelagh, Stratford, Newtown, among others, all went wrong? Too much focus on one team and now look...no where near senior competitiveness, let alone surviving as an actual club. Bigger picture is right Ed. Much bigger to maintain and progress ones club than solely focusing on the achievements of one team.
