Tipp v Laois

(Oldest Posts First)

I fear a hiding here lads with so many players out. Fingers crossed we can put up a good performance at least. We are still learning and a bad beating could send us backwards.

We haven't given anyone a bad beating for about 5 years and I very much doubt we're going to start now.......

well lads on paper Laois are better but we have home advantage and will be fresher relative to laois who have had 2 tough weekends in a row and maybe on a bit of a downer after the loss. Also traditionally a team that enters back door only a week after exiting the main championship have a very poor record. No reason why Tipp cant squeak this one by 1 or 2 points.

I think Tipp will give Laois a scare but Laois should sneak by.If that boy Kingston bothers at all for Laois they should be safe .Id say there will be lucky to be a thousand at this one.!!

Congratulations to Tipp who fully deserved the victory by virtue of the fact that they wanted it more.

Good luck with the Dubs. Maybe you'll get back a few of the lads for that one?

Was at the game, super performance by Tipp, showed great resilience and nerve at the end. Why did they play the game in Thurles though? There was only a couple of thousand and were were rattling around in the vast Semple Stadium!

Well done to Tipp again & the Magic Evans. We were severly under - strenght & I was expecting a huge beating to be honest. However the lads knuckled down & ground out the win with a great score in injury time.

Dissapointed with the 2nd round draw though vs the Dubs away pity we could' nt have them in Semple but I am hopeful that the lads will put on a decent performace. For me if we lost yesterday it was a big step back in Tipp football but to have won a championship match after the season we just had was a great achievement & who knows after here??????

Maybe we are the team to knock the Dubs backwards!!!!!

Hope the Dubs game will lift the profile locally, very poor turn out V Laois. Think I might head for Croker!
