Naps blew away cuchulainn tonight which was no surprise..great semi final lined up against lanleire. Mals and tones in other semi I'm going to go with a naps and tones win. I've heard some good things about the Wolfe tones this year that they have kicked on a gear. Just curious is Martin smith still over them ?

Unfortunately our young men were not able to deal with the day. They fell 11pts behind at one point in the first half but they recovered well in the second. The mals did enough to hold on and were more clinical in front of goal.
Some dubious decision by the ref though baffled. No water break in the first half, we're the maps dominated but on in the second we're the Tones were putting the pressure and it was actually called when the Tones made a counter attack forward and had a 4 on 3.
The forward mark is also a poor rule, puts added pressure on the refs and players. At one point a mals player caught the balls outside the 45 cand called for a mark, the tones player tackled and won the ball. Before a counter attack could be launched the ref blew for a free then upon review of the Mals players position gave the free to the tones.

Only one point in it come the end must of been a rallying performance from the tones. Always dubious decisions when Kevin Carroll referees a match

The Tones have been on the slippery slope ever since the Legendry Click Clarke left them. Their loss was the Super Rats gain.
