Replying To Red2017:  "Let all clubs continue to play full strength and then county players to keep peeping for county championship. Why stop players playing with their club. Keep club standards high and as competitive as possible. Benefit county players and team"
Ye i get that, but it will hardly make our county team weaker by them not playing, its a ridiculous statement...
At this stage lads we are lucky with the year thats in it to even get a championship done, I didnt think so back in march and April. Just get these games whacked off and be done with it, let the county have their lads together

Replying To breakingball22:  "I can't understand the grievance about finishing a league without promotion or relegation with no county players...given the circumstances...and given the fact that this was spelt out months ago as a way to ensure meaningful games for club and county. The last 2 months of club games where great and they have opened some conversations at national level for how a year should be structured. I get the point of keeping county lads sharp through club football but surely the county players need to train together to get fitness levels and sharpness up to intercounty standard, work on tactics etc."
exactly pure sense spoken here. The manager needs to get these players in together now and start training.
Not playing 3 challenge games

The county team don't have a relevant game for four weeks. This is the Leinster SFC game with Longford on 31st October. Indeed hopefully the final two league games may (should) not be played due to the developing COVID situation. If that happens we should stay in Division 3.

It would be best for the county players to have real games with their clubs over the next few weeks. They could attend county team sessions 2-3 times each week. I'd say the county men have got more from their club than from the county this strange year.

Clubs don't have county players for the next 3 games everyone knew this since the lockdown ended so just get on with it, the games are glorified friendlies anyway just a matter of playing them and ending the season

How would you describe the last two national league games we have to play ? The first five were not glorious.

We're going to get hammered in them 2 games and then Longford will beat us in championship so it will be all over fairly quickly for the Louth lads and they can have a nice break then. How come all county players wer allowed to play in the Martins mochtas game last night?? Not fair on other clubs who aren't allowed to play them??

Absolutely disgusting weather the weekend for matches. Some scores put up by teams. Fair olay to every club for fielding.
Leagues are shaping up nicely, hopefully the NPHET recommendation today doesnt derail the football.

Happy that the decision was made for us. Very lucky to get a championship played, but health has to come first and that was being forgotten about.

With the appetite from Croke park to finish the national leagues is this the reason that the club league season hasn't officially been cancelled , seems unfair to keep the club player hanging on for this training away only for the remaining games to be pulled later in the year .

Are any teams seriously still training? Any club team that can't see the big picture here and haven't pulled training completely need to have a good hard look at themselves

I always thought that 90% of lads enjoyed training. A lot of people pay for the privilege of using a gym to keep in trim. You are only young once.

A bit of cop on and common sense would go a long way also.

Time to accept the situation of a crazy year and not put football ahead of the lives of anyone.

Simple as that
