Is the ruination of Club football in Fermanagh really worth a few games in the back door?

This was always going to happen,
Why did the SFL start so late?
Why can other counties play right up until the last week before a county game but we need a 3 week break?

its not just fermanagh club football, clubs all around the country are havin the same problem, but fermanagh usually dont have this problem in july, it seems like some people on here envy the fermanagh team progessing

I agree with BigBallerSize, Why does there need to be a 2 week break before games, especially now the only realistic dream is gone (Ulster) & how is losing by 10 points to Monaghan progressing??? The point is there has been 1 game played in June & probably none in July if they beat Armagh & for what? A Few games in the backdoor. If people would see that putting the Senior league on hold is doing no favours to anyone in the County.

Yes, I would have to agree. What people lose track of is that the County players are Club players first & foremost & that's what made them the players they are, putting the league on hold will not benefit the County & definitely not the Clubs. We've seen it time & time again, there's players in the County panel from numbers 20 to 35 that will leave the County panel actually worse off then when they came into the set-up because they are getting no football whatsoever. They could as easily pick up an injury in training as a Club match on a week before a game, this 2 week period is doing no favours, especially now in the back door.

I eat my words, I do think it was worth it! Great day out in dublin on sunday and the county has earnt a lot of respect.

Surely we can only get better and more competitive with Div 2 football next year.
