Turning into some baller!

I like him I liked him last year , he's growing and developing all the time , I think he epitomizes why Dublin have a massive advantage over all other counties , he's been allowed to develop at his own pace as has so many others , because of our riches no one is rushed into the deepend , other counties that win a minor or under 21 there's a pressure to throw lads in , Gavin doesn't have to do that , look at Basquel Howard and Scully same bedding in process, FairPlay to Scully he's giving his best at nailing a jersey, on a different note as expressed previously we haven't because of the new rules been able to apply the same criteria to a back up keeper , fingers crossed SC stays clear if injuries

Im a big Scully fan, he gets through some amount of work and is some athlete with a massive engine you have to admire him taking his chance. Hes been superb in this league campaign.

He is one of those hybrid footballers Jim likes and tries to develop who can play between the lines, get forward, half forward, help out in midfield and at half back. always space for a player who can do all those things in a game.

My one critique would be his coolness in finishing and shot selection, but that has come on leaps and bound in this league.

The best compliment you can pay him is that their is a real choice there between him Flynn for a half forward slot. Or even Connolly being pushed up to the full forward line.

He has a lot of potential and we're seeing it come to the front. I was impressed myself with him last year but he's improved since then which is to his credit. I enjoy watching him play, he's got a good football head on him and those sorts of players always impress me.

With himself and Howard playing well it may give us the option of playing Kilkenny and Connolly closer to goal?

I like th sound of that. Kilkenny at underage was a scoring machine

The only way I'd play Kilkenny further up the pitch is if he started to get man marked in every game like in the final last year.

He's the conductor of the orchestra, the main playmaker and controls the game and the tempo for Dublin.

I remember we were debating his worth a while back and I think most of us agreed at the time that even though he looked like nothing special, Gavin wouldn't have him in there unless he had something to bring to the table and we should wait and see what happens, well here we are.

12 months on he looks Flynners eventual replacement. He has really impressed me this year. Howard also.

A player who might otherwise have gone unnoticed if it hadn't been for JG and his willingness and ability to see talent and nurture it.
Scilly is another great addition to the panel and the competition for places.
