Kerry V Cavan

Jays I hate to say it horse but the dubs are a serious outfit , their fitness and movement is savage , they can be a bit selfish in front of goals like you said but other than that they are the real deal. If we manage to beat Cavan today then I will be very worried.

could be good having donaghy inside, he has quick hands, if he is able to win his ball and offload to darren and declan, he will be having a good game! reckon cavan will stay with kerry for longer than expected! kerrys bench though should help them kick on towards the end of the game!

Who was that team in green and gold pulling, dragging, lying down and cynically stopping Cavan players in scoring positions? What part of Ulster are they from, you know what they are like up there. Thank goodness Kerry don't do them things as the saviours and Gods of Gaelic football!

Putrid performance from Kerry in second half, average in first half. Donaghy better not be starting the next day, he doesn't want to know about it at this stage. Moran was excellent. Declan needs to be at 14 or 11, nowhere else. It was a disgrace to take off Donnchadh Walsh. Paul Geaney was very impressive I thought.

We will need Maher and O' Donoghue back but hard to see us getting withing 7 or 8 of Dublin.

I agree CKH , although I thought Moran impressed , is there a place for him in the full forward line in your opinion?

No I don't think so. We need pace and movement in the inside line, Donaghy and Moran don't give you that.

I know what you mean, but could they be the new twin towers?

There's no need for all this mud-slinging about defensive football. It's a reality we have to accept at the moment. Most of us Cavan supporters were annoyed with our over-defensive attitude in the first half. When we reverted to more traditional Cavan football in the second half we raised our game and made our presence felt in the physical stakes as well. Our lads will have learned a lot from playing Kerry - there's no substitute for experience. I was surprised at times by the way Kerry got so many men behind the ball but only the Dublin game will show whether this will prove effective or not. No complaints about the the physical stuff, tackles etc; I didn't see anything different to what you'd see in club championship football in Cavan. Best of luck in the semi-final; big improvement needed.

Kerrys performance on Sunday was pathetic. Of the four left Kerry are the weakest. I have no idea what is going on but they are in terrible shape and will pose little or no threat for Dublin.

Reading all comments posted here for a long time and it never fails to amaze me that so many allow Ulsterman to get into their cage.
The guy is suffering from a huge inferiority complex brought about by lack of success happiness and accomplishment in his life and
trade/profession. His anonymous postings give him a sense of achievement and any response to his winding up exercise is a bonus.
His life is a sad one and he needs our pity more than our scorn. The best way to deal with him is to ignore him. No response. You
cannot reason with unreasonable people. And sadly his behaviour is typical of that type of person.

Don't know where all the anti Kerry stuff is coming from. They played as well as they needed to and this is the stage of the championship when they start to rouse themselves, a dangerous beast that shouldn't be antagonised. In fairness over the years some teams have tried every underhand tactic to unsettle ye but you've always stuck to playing football, and thank God for that. If every county played the massed defence it would sound the death knell for football. Stick to your principles and would love to meet ye in the final. Maigh Eo Abu.

Well done yesterday lads. As it goes, I think it was a tactically astute performance from Kerry for the most part and you set yourselves up well and cut of the supply to our inside forwards which was key. Ye will be coming into the Dublin match under the radar and that will suit you fine. The second half performance is being over analysed in my opinion. Cavan are a good side as results this year have shown and they would have been hurting at half time and came back out with pride at stake. Hard to measure your credentials off the back on a mainly one sided game but best of luck to ye. Hopefully we'll get the chance for revenge soon!
