Championship starts for us tonight lads, away to Longford at 7:30.

Lads i like the look of form minor and underage are: Ross McGarry, James Doran, Karl Lynch Blisset, Peader O Cofaigh Byrne and Ciaran Archer.

Rumblings that Peader O Cogaighe Byrne has already been in with the senior panel training. He starts in midfield tonight, but was a 3 at underage, hes a big lad. Lynch Blisset was a half back but i notice hes playing half forward tonight.

COYBIB.

Not much of a competition really, Longford were poor, Dublin destroyed them. Dublin play Wexford next Tuesday in the semi-final!

Start to finish Dublin dominated by all accounts, still no harm to build a bit of momentum. There are about three out injured to come back into the panel as well.

Wexford needed a late penatly to get over Loais.

Galway look the team to beat at this grade, We beat Kildare, drew with Kerry and were well beaten by Galway in the league earlier in the year. But first up we have to get through Leinster. Kildare are already out, Meath will have a strong team they got far in the minor last year, though this group will be stung a bit as there was an apparent sweet heart arrangement in the round robin stage to make sure Dublin didnt get out of the minor group last year.

Don't think they are anything exceptional, needed a penalty to get over Louth, id be disjointed not to win.

Pretty straight forward win for the U20's vs Wexford, good news considering the weekend we've had. It ended DUBLIN 1-17 WEXFORD 0-6.

SCORERS - Dublin: C Archer 1-8 (0-7f), N O'Leary, B O'Leary, J Doran, R McGarry (0-1f) 0-2 each, C Kinsella 0-1. Wexford: M Molloy 0-2, J Myler (0-1f), S Nolan, C Kavanagh, D Brooks (0-1f) 0-1 each.

DUBLIN: D O'Hanlon; D Maher, D Newcombe, E O'Dea; K Kennedy, N Matthews, S Lambe; P O Cofaigh Byrne, D Ryan; N O'Leary, K Lynch Bissett, J Doran; B O'Leary, C Archer, R McGarry. Subs: K McKeon for McGarry (40), C Kinsella for Matthews (48), D Lacey for Lynch Bissett (48), A Lynch for O'Dea (53), S Farrelly for O Cofaigh Byrne (58), E Caulfield for N O'Leary (59).

Archer is the cut of a young Deano, I'd have high hopes for him, OOCofaigh Byrne, Doran, and Lynch Blisset.

Leinster final is Friday week in Tullamore at 7.30, Vs Loais (of all teams) who put Meath to the sword 1.13 to 0-7.

Laois will be a tough game for us, they've beaten Kildare and Meath already at this year and we go into this with barely a test, apparently Laois will be going all out for this one, a number of players who qualified but where with the Senior Panel will be back for this after they were knocked out at Senior.

You have been proven badly wrong. Dublin u20's miles ahead of the pack this year. Your senior panel will get 3 or 4 players from this crop.

I'll happily take the hit on that!

Laois were good, thought the goals killed them today. They accounted for Kildare and Meath leading up to this game, while we had a far more straight forward run. They also had seniors being added to the group.

Galway in Longford next Sat, Galway gave us a bad hammering by double digits a couple of months back in the John Kearns, hopefully we can give them a run for their money. But I would say we are going into this as underdogs.

I agree I'd be disappointed if we didn't get at least three from this group, Archer and POCB look certainly to me.

There are some others I think have a great shot to.

Peadar O Cofaigh Byrne, I agree he's already in training with the seniors, he didn't play minor last year as he was doing his leaving, he played for at 3 underage but looks class in the middle.

Galway undoubted favorites in my opinion, are unbeaten this year so far and gave us a fair whalloping in the John Kearns earlier in the year.

Well shows what i know, didnt expect us to make an ALL Ireland final this year or beat Galway yesterday. Thats why im bashing a keyboard right now and wasnt sat in the dugout in Longford yesterday.

Terrific performance by the lads and hopefully they go all the way now, be a good game whoever we get Tyrone or Cork. Tyrone look a very tactical disciplined bunch at this level and some real talent in young Darragh Canavan up front, while Cork have some great expansive talent.

Looking like we will have some very very good players breaking through next year in the league next January.

Think Ciaran has another year at U20 to go, be interesting to see if hes progressed to senior quickly, i would suspect probably not, though he might be brought in training.
