Could Gilligan rejoin the Clare Panel?

(Oldest Posts First)

Wouldn't he bring experience to the panel as a sub and an all ireland winning forward from 97?
With the other good forwards would he have a bit to offer?

If they could convince him to come back I am sure he woulde have plenty to offer. i thought he was very under rated and was always handy for a goal or two. Ryan Honan and Gilligan would be a good full forward line

What ever happened John Reddan from the bridge next big thing in Clare in 2002 at the age of 22 havent seen him since. Minor captain 1998 and alot of comparisons with Seanie McMahon potential never fulfilled

I dont think John Reddan even playing club hurling now, himself,Gearoid Considine,Ken Kennedy and Beano McMahon were expected to be the super stars from the 97 Minor All Ireland winning team, all have disappeared off the radar.

John Reddan is playing hurling in London at the moment, helped his club with the London senior championship for the 1st time this year.

Reddan was always just too slow for inter-county hurling in my opinion. A bit similiar to Conor Plunkett, but Plunkett was a better hurler.

Think Reddan had alot more potential than Plunkett but he was farily slow alright. See in the London final Reddan got 1-2 from Full forward aswel.
