Just because someone made a criticism of gusserane does not mean they are from Glynn. Its the most stupid type of logic people use to try put down others

making any sort of an observation about football,or call out sly remarks about hurling, etc you are either
1. from the opposition
2. part of the hurling isis who want football in wexford dead and buried.
3. just trying to start a row..........

The worrying thing is that no one seems to cares about the shambolic efforts of Wexford senior teams in club football.
Laughing them off with funny tweets is embarrassing

well the powers that be dont care about underage football in this county and never will . lets us not forget only two counties have ever done 4 in a row in football that was kerry and wexford . i wish it was different but unless there is major reform in the county board, den half the gaa players in the county will continue to be messed around . but maybe thats what people want just fed up with it to be honest .

you can't really blame the powers that be here though,or at least explain how their actions ended up with gusserane being beaten by a cricket score?and are our powers that be really that much worse than offaly?
it is up to the individual club who have won the title to have enough pride in representing the county to take the competition serious,i am sure there has been a great session in gusserane but i am sure that longford club also had great celebrations yet went out and beat stradbally.
it is not often that a club player gets to represent the county, but you are not just representing your county, you are representing yourself and your club as well.

you can actually blame the powers that be as Football is probably the fourth most popular sport in county wexford now.

Only one power to blame and that's powers pub ballycullane. Fair play to gusserane on county final. Don't be spoofing about people you don't know. As clubs go gusserane is one of the soundest. One meaningless Leinster game is not going to bother them.

In what way does the CB not care about underage football?

It organises league championship from 14-18- same as hurling
It organises development squads from 14-17 -same as hurling
It organises U13 squads- same as hurling
It supports all squads to participate in provincial and cross provincial blitzes- football and hurling
It employs a football development coach and other coaches also coach duel

I can understand you might be shell shocked after a result like this (and there are some mitigating factors)

But to blame the county board, made up of representatives from clubs, including duel, football and hurling clubs only, is to look to apportion blame in the wrong place. The CB can and should be held to account for a huge range of issues where leadership is lacking, meaning clubs are lacking, but to say they don't care about underage football is stretching it.

There are always fixtures issues and the delay in the minor final is hard to understand but the CB you want to blame organises a season where football and hurling get an equal crack at it- if more kids prefer to hurling than football ( actually more play soccer than any other game in the county -a far bigger issue than the hurling vs football issue) or clubs want to focus on code over another then its their call.

Be interested to hear how and why you think they don't care about football.

Where is football 365?

Doesnt exist. Hurling 365 was put in place by willie cleary, his brainchild and he pushed hard for it. Nobody who claims to have an interest in football has done anything about setting up a similar program. Instead they play the poor mouth. Easier than actually doing something to help.

No need for football 365 because kicking a ball is something with happens more spontaneously than hurling, which is why hurling in schools needs an initiative and football doesn't

hurling can be done spontaneously in the back yard too.......but blaming the county board in this case is just looking for somebody to blame.
look at ballyea yesterday,1st time ever winning county and now into munster final.
if cloughban had beaten oulart and showed the leinster provincial championship such indifference, there would 100% rightly have been called every name under the sun on here.

Hurling 365 came from private funding (i.e, his own money) from a Wexford man.

His choice. Should it have been handed back?
