Wexford Park

(Oldest Posts First)

Im hoping to get to the match on Saturday week.Im just wondering
if there is there good public transport access to Wexford Park (buses/
trains)????If you got the Dublin to Wexford bus would you need a
shuttle bus as I read on Wikipedia it is in the Clonard area????

Im travelling from Belfast would it be easier to get the train on from
Dublin to Wexford????

Ha you got your wish from the main forum :) and as I'd said we're delighted to welcome you.

I'd 100% favour the train. It's a shorter and more comfortable journey than the bus by far.

Public transport is ok. There's a shuttle bus that picks up just beside the station and will get you to the park for about €1.40 or a taxi rank next to the station. It'll cost you about €7 euro to get to the park. If you're young and fit it would only take you about 10-15 minutes to walk it. If I can be of any more help just let me know pal.

Its a good 20/25 min walk from the railway station to Wexford Park, the bus stop is at the railway station also.

Always plenty of taxis at the station which is probably your best bet if ye dont fancy the walk

I'd defo go with train mate. Much shorter and more comfortable journey than the bus.

When you get in to the station there's a shuttle bus there or a taxi rank. Bus will cost 1.40 or taxi around 7 quid. You could walk it in 10-15 minutes but there are a lot of hills. I saw you on the main forum hoping we'd be beaten by Westmeath so you could come down :)

If there's anything else I can help with just let me know.

I'd say bus from Dublin is your best bet, not many trains to Wexford these days. I used to get Wexford Bus service from Dublin instead of Bus Eireann the odd time, they were usually cheapest and a bit quicker. All buses and trains will leave you off by Redmond Square, and from there its only about 15 minutes walk to the ground, don't know about shuttle bus service though (I'm not from the town . There's a few twists and turns to walk, check Google maps or ask a friendly local for directions and you'll be grand. Best of luck to ye Lads!
