Matt O`Hanlon - hurling captain for 2015

(Oldest Posts First)

I see in the people paper this week that Matt O`Hanlon is the hurling captain for 2015. I always thought that the captain came from the county champions? I am not saying O`Hanlon should not be captain, just wondering what are peoples thoughts?

Well the wexford football teams that i watched were captained by graham molloy this year, and david murphy last year before he retired.

Mossy Waters will HAVE to be at centre back next year. We were badly missing one this year.

I think Red was captain in 2013 Peter yes (with Murph in 2012?) but not 100 percent on that!

Waters coming back into the hurling will be a massive boost for the team (provided he is fit and flying!) whether he be at centre back or full back! With Matthew after being announced as captain it will be interesting to see what happens there.... to be fair to Matthew he had a great season, although his pace may let him down a little he was solid at the back and always seemed to find his man when driving out with the ball!
