Football on the west coast?

Just wondering if there were many teams on the west coast stateside? is the gaa not as big on that side as it is on the east, cus i only ever hear about new york, boston, philadelphia etc.
possibly lookin for a team on that coast.

San Fran has a few teams. Most big cities have a team but they may not be very competitive.
