While I'm on here, I may as well congratulate you on your fine win on Sunday; looked very dangerous, even unstoppable at times!

However, my main reason for coming onto the Tipp site is to offer my condolences on the death of the great Jimmy Doyle.

I never had the pleasure of seeing him hurl, but fortunately had the privilege of talking to the man. And what a lovely man he was to chat to!

Belated RIP to Jimmy Doyle. I asked my dad if he was better than Nicky and Eoin knowing he'd say yes but he said he was much better than the two of them. That just goes to show how good he was. From any clips I saw of him it was obvious how stylish and compact a hurler he was. His touches were so fluid and natural. I can only imagine how great it was to watch him live.

Players like that are why we love the game and why the arrival of bubbles helped with the departure of Eoin and reassured us that the baton had been passed down to the next generation. We may not win all-Irelands anymore but at least our players entertain.

Well lads what do ye think now ? Tipp V Galway ?

I think that Galway have a couple of players who can cause us problems particularly Glynn,Mannion and Canning obviously, however it has to be factored in how poor Cork were yesterday. It was played at challenge match pace. I think our forwards will do more damage than theirs and I think no.'s 3 and 6 are potential areas we can exploit particularly for pace.
Croke Park and our experience there will also count.
Its like this we perform to our capabilities we will win.

This is going to be a very tall order to beat Galway, especially after yesterday's performance. That said our lads can't say they haven't been warned so they have three weeks to get themselves right for this match.

I'm hoping our backs with be a lot stronger than the Cork backs. I can't see Whelan giving Barrett a run around like he did to O'Neill. The big question is how we stop Glynn winnning the dirty ball. With Padraic Maher looks dodgy to play who else will go toe to toe with him on the forty. I know he roasted Maher at full forward last year but the half back line is a different story altogether.

I'd be hoping our midfield can come out on top and that will be a key battleground.

But overall I am very wary of the Galway threat, they were like a new team yesterday versus the Leinster Final.

They played a proper team in the Leinster final, they played a pub team yesterday, they will play a proper experienced team again versus Tipp.
