I was at Charlestown v belmullet game on Monday in bad conditions and Charlestown seem lethal in both attack and defence great chance for them to win it out!

I see that a number of teams gave walk overs for the U21 championship last weekend. This does not bode well for the future of our club or county teams.

Big contrast in Under 21 A championship this year than last yeaR:

Ballina, who were runners up last year need at least a win against Ballintubber to get into the last 8. Ballintubber who got to the semi final last year will not get out of the group if they fail to get a point v Ballina.

Breaffy got hammered against Knockmore a few weeks ago now need to beat Aghamore by at least 7 points to go through. Breaffy another previous semi finalist who are struggling.

Last years winners lost their only group game v Ballaghdereen but are lucky to go through as Westport pulled out of the competition.

Also in a different point, should Westport and Louisburgh have been replaced by teams in the B competition? For teams to be put into the A category and then pulling out is very embarressing.

What happened Ballintubber yesterday? Didn't see Ballina beating them! Did O'Connor and Finnerty not play?

Yes both of them played, but DOC received the young player of the year award the night before. He didn't seem to interested and Tubber were toothless without him. Ballina looked impressive however.

\no wonder Diaramid O Connor was not interested, his season has not stopped, he won sigerson last Feb and has been going strong all year for club and county, When does he get a rest, mayo training next month and sigerson early in the new year. Hope he does not go the way of so many talented Mayo footballers that were burned out too early. Player burnout being addressed my aaa. Even the grat Jphn O mahoy had an article on it in the mail on sunday, he has all the answeres yet again, but did he mention that Michael Meehan won the sigerson for NUIG as a 19 yr old on a saturday ( it involved 3 days of consecutive games) and meehan was recalled to play a meaningless challenge on the Sunday of the same weekend . Who was that manager that did that, yes JOM.

I take it you were not at the match 'rober'. O' Connor was most certainly interested and worked his boots off. Ballintubber wanted the win and fought hard for it, but Ballina were commanding the midfield among other areas. Ballintubber fought hard right to the very end!

Was at the game also. O'Connor may have wanted it but I don't think he worked particularly hard to be honest and that's probably just down to being tired.

My worries came true that we just weren't that interested this year in this panel and that's a worry for the future.

Who do you all think will win the U21 A Championship with Claremorris, Moy Davitts, Kiltimagh and Aghamore remaining in the competition?

Personally I think its wide open for any of the 4 to win it.
