Kerry in the Ring!

(Oldest Posts First)

The hurlers got through a tricky away game at Kildare today, 3-18 to 2-16. Through now to the semi-finals, along with Meath. Two quarter-finals will be up next for those availing of a second chance. Kildare and Wicklow are dark horses.
* Ring winner this year will advance to a McCarthy play-off.

Ah this is great for Kerry Hurling and a due reward for all the effort and money that the county board have put into our hurling at under age, Our premier manager must also take a bow, he has somehow managed to break down the usual North Kerry Politics barrier which has in previous years halted our progress, at long last now everyone involved is pulling in the same direction and the proof is in the style of play and the score lines put up. The Munster championship however is a way too competitive for us with any one of the following; Clare Cork, Tipp, Waterford or Limerick are capable of winning the Munster trophy, the option of coming in at the qualifier stage via the Christy Ring Cup is maybe a more viable option for us.

Either way well done to all concerned

A win would be mighty for Kerry and jkust reward for the strides made by the county board and our coach Kelly who In all fairness to him has broken down the usual hurling political barriers that hinder progress in the past.. well to all and best of luck on Saturday heres rooting for ye.

Ah sure, just as it can be difficult to win an intermediate club championship. Some players have had to squeeze in club championship games in football on the same weekends. Just the nature of the level.
