Potential championship home draw 16th Vs G8 17th..

(Oldest Posts First)

Based on the assumption that Cavan overcome Armagh in the preliminary game, we would be scheduled to play them in the quarterfinal on the 16th of June in Brewster.

With the G8 fixed for Monday the 17th and Tuesday the 18th, allowing this fixture to go ahead would surly be a security nightmare. With the additional crowds that championship fixtures traditionally draw from GAA folks across the whole country on top of the large crowds expected for the G8, Enniskillen and Fermanagh would become an absolute nightmare.

So my question is where would this leave Fermanagh, and has the GAA even considered the potential of this happening. Would we lose home advantage and be forced to play the game else where, clones etc, or would the game simply be rescheduled? …….Of course as mentioned this is all dependent on a Cavan win.

Thoughts Please.......

First things first if Cavan do win it is imperative Fermanagh still get a home draw, so surely playing the game a week sooner or else on Saturday June 15 @ Enniskillen is the only way out????

Apparently they can't because they're tied in with TV rights. Why don't they invite Obama and the lads over to watch the game.

This being at home could be the difference between you making the Ulster final and not.
