With the return of Lar Corbett I think Tipp will do better then I thought. But they defiently wont win the all Ireland the likes of Cork,Kilkenny,Dublin and limerick all have a better chance I think. Also tipp will loose to Limerick on sunday

What did everyone think of the game?
Poor performance from tipp today. Pretty clueless for 50+ minutes. Tipp relied on super performances from individuals rather than a 15 man effort to rescue us. Think it was also a case of limerick running out of steam which contributed to the win

Tipp have lots of work to do in the next few weeks

Yea I was tearing my hair out for 50 mins but then they settled. I'm afraid Eoin was very poor today although he should have had a penalty. The subs made a big impact coming on. Was impressed with Buggy again today. Alot of negatives but it was great to win it especially showing such heart. Cork will be a very tough assignment.

Tipp won this and only hurled for 15 min, seen a different side to Tipp today they showed a real steel not to buckle when we were 7 down at one stage, they really have matured as a team and had the believe in each other that they would win the game even coming from behind. They really upped the pace of the game with 15 to go and I can not say this enough times how important is the Bonner Maher to us, if some of the other forwards had only 50% of his work rate and attitude we would be away with it.

I think the main problems are on the sideline - the management. I dont agree with John Leahy that they lack hunger - thats real Babs nonsence talk! These are the same team (almost) that won 1 All Ireland and should have won 2009 but for the ref. With proper management (who would have implemented a plan B during 2011 final) they would have put 2 titles back to back. Tipp lost the 2011 final more than Kilkenny won it!! All last year the goals were the difference against Cork Clare Waterford Dublin. take the goals out of those matches & Tipp would have lost. When the goals didnt come against Kilkenny we lost. Whats happened to the point scoring? its woeful!! 15 wides yestereday. Where's the coaching. It wasnt just yesterday - it was the same against the drawn Cork game. They were also behind their men yesterday same as Cork game. At least all that passing seemed to have disapppeared yesterday. Someone mentioned overtraining maybe thats so but something needs to change soon and I think the problem is with the management more than the panel.

Us Tipp supporters need to relax, last year we were giving out about peaking to early, now last Sunday we just did enough by hurling for 15min. After all it is only May and we have along road ahead of us, many of this team have not hurled in months I am delighted that a few of these lads have not hurled in months as freshness will be the key come September. As for upset in the camp and management been the problem this is rubbish, if this was the case there was no way we would of showing such steel and believe that we could win that game been 7 points down with 15 to go, only a group with unity and real believe in each other could stick together like Tipp did when they were 7 down. Maybe people need to give Declan and the lads a break and see how the year unfolds instead of sticking the boot in and its only May, after all we still have a date down lee side in June.

I completely agree with the last post. The only thing I would have against Declan Ryan is that he comes across that he is a bit laid back. I think the problem with Tipp over the years has been this attitude. But to be fair to him, he got it right. He is keeping back players that are coming back for injury and not throwing them in too early. I am sure I speak for most Tipp fans when I say we like Declan Ryan, he won three all-Irelands as a player and was good with the minors. I suppose people like to see their manager giving it loads on the side-line, but, that probably make no difference.

hate to say this think EOIN KELLY FINISHED AS STARTIN ON FIRST 15 injuries seem to have curtailed his input big call by the management to replace him on sunday probably the winning of the match he cud still hav a big role to play with 20 minutes left in a game imagine the lift that would give everyone in a tight game

Its all the one lads ye more than likely will win Munster but wait till ye come up against Kilkenny. Oh boys. That's the scalding yer in for.

Don't agree with you morrissey, we only beat them two years ago, and we should have beaten them three years ago. The only one we really lost was last year. Sour grapes, ye gave everything for 50 mins, and after that ye were gone. Tipp are the only team that can beat kk. Cork will do the same as Limerick they will give it everything too; I hope Tipp can absorb this and win.

Can't agree with u 20carrolls! I can't see what u are basing your assumption that we are the only team that can beat kk, not sure we even can! Since 2010 AI we have gone back I think. We have never got back to that intensity and that is the cornerstone to beat kk, from that u have to be good enough and take your chances! Not sure these players, at their current stage, can get the intensity n physicality needed this year! I think Galway n Dublin are the only others that could turn over kk in knock out! I think they are tryin to get to that level startin with the intensity n pace they play at. I know Dublin got relegated n kk hammered Galway but just think they have it in them for championship.

semplestadium to say Galway have it in them to overturn this kk team is laughable, I dont think one person in Galway believes this. Yes Dublin may have it in them to beat kk but Tipp are still there we have not gone away, we did not play in last years final as the attitude was all wrong and was still only a puck off a ball in it at the end. I will tell you what Tipp have to do and some off the supporters is to loose this arrogance and swagger and the attitude of the 60s that we are a major hurling power and get back to the hard graft that Liam Sheedy installed into the team in 09 and 10. Last Sunday was the first time I seen them with that bit of steel in them again with 15 to go, lets hope that carries on when we go down to Cork as it is never easy down there.
