And just before the next lockdown!! Relegation to be definitely scrapped if this lockdown happens"
All GAA club activity cancelled until further notice. Moycullen and cortoon just finished a day before gaa club lockdown.

The county board did very well in getting so many competitions played. Unfortunately the behaviour of players in pre match huddles and fans/players celebrating after matches was a step to far. There was also huge concern of the amount of Dublin based players travelling home for training and matches and totally ignoring guidelines. Very unfortunate and I fear for the inter county games now. Its going to be a long winter.

Well done Moycullen great win what a day for Dessie captain & man of the match very impressive & also with out Cooke. Have a feeling relegation won't go ahead very hard on MB & Monivea to be expected to train away when no idea if/when game will be played

Best case scenario the relegation will be played after level 3 restrictions are lifted in 3 weeks. At the way things are going it could be level 4 or 5 after that

Moycullen duel players must be in heaven a good few days on the beer followed by a few weeks back on the horse The double is surely now on for them and I wouldn't write them off for it.

A bloody joke should be played off ASAP not fair on players who risked playing and training all year

Rumour mill has it that it will be played in the new year. That should be some crack with both teams more than likely at full strength.

Played off ASAP while the GAA had banned all games?
County football then starts next weekend.
There are other counties who have county finals unplayed. They're just going to have to wait too. There was no other option.

It should be scrapped and two go down next year! Very unfair on clubs to be training not knowing when they will be playing!! In which would be such an important game for both clubs,

I think they should scrap all promotions and relegation this year. The only one that should stand is Moycullen senior after their fantastic win.

It would be harsh on clubs that have won there county titles not to see them go up cortoon, ballygar, but clubs waiting around for relegation just should be scrapped and double up next year, as for moycullen they were outstanding and played such a lovely style of football which is great to see

Ballygar are playing intermediate in Roscommon next year anyway. All done and dusted with the Roscommon county board.

Or just give them a date early next year, so they can plan for that.

You absolutely can't scrap promotion now. The finals have all been played. There's no way you can stop it after the fact. Cortoon and Ballygar would bring them to court and rightly so.
That's ridiculous.

No i am saying cortoon and ballygar still go up and then next year have extra teams coming down, with the the way the numbers are going it could be locked down for 4 more weeks play it in December??

Some year, some final, credit to Moycullen, they didn't look any gift horse in the mouth, they simply outplayed MM. If the game was a week later you'd anticipate a more disciplined 2nd half football performance from MM and a win for the Amber and Black. Nonetheless a great final, the best in several years, the big question is are Corofin coming back to the pack or are the pack catching up?
And who exactly are the Pack?

Yes fair play to moycullen. I hope the provincial and all ireland club continues in the new year. Moycullen would fancy themselves to get over knockmore/brigits/ tourlestrane and all to play for then in all ireland semi. Ballymun look strong though

Big question is for next year have Corofin got the players coming through to replace the aging players like Sice Lundy McGrath and Steede??they have been performing constant for them the last 10 years but with these guys pushing on I do question is the same quality is there to replace them???definetely not in my opinion...Moycullen (Man City )look a strong powerful side who will be looking to push on and win another few county titles...mountbellew are young athletic and classy and will be there for years to come while u wud imagine Salthill and Claregalway will begin to push with the amount of quality they have coming through....I think we cud be in for a very exciting and open championship in the next 5 to 10 years with the amount of quality young sides coming through
