A big win for Conor Horan and Kilmessan over Kiltale at Lomans Park

The second round of the Senior, Senior B, Intermediate and Junior hurling championship concluded last on Bank Holiday Monday.

Jubilee Cup holders Ratoath picked up their first win, a second loss for Na Fianna and Kildalkey. Kilmessan too strong for Kiltale. Two in a row for Trim. A second win for Kilskyre/Moylagh and Longwood in the Senior B. O’Mahony’s are back on track. Wins for IHC favourites Rathmolyon and Dunboyne.

Monday: Last years Junior B winners na Fianna made a winning start to the Junior championship with a two point win over Dunboyne. St. Peters lost out to Kiltale in the 2025 decider.

Na Fianna 3-11 Dunboyne 1-15

Sunday: Trim made it two from two and handed Kildalkey their second defeat in the Senior Hurling Championship. The Town side had 14 points to spare at Dunganny.

In what was billed as the clash of two of the favourites Kilskyre/Moylagh were too strong for Dunderry in round 2 of the Senior B. Willie McGrath struck the games opening goal and the winners led 1-9 to 0-5 at the break. Elsewhere Longwood made it two from two in Rathmolyon while Navan O’Mahony’s inflicted a second defeat on last years winners Killyon.

Saturday: Kilmessan sent out a warning shot to all Jubilee Cup contenders with a convincing win over last year’s finalists Kiltale in front of a large crowd at Lomans Park Trim. Charlie Keenan’s men were always on top and with keeper Sean Power in outstanding form they ran out seven point winners.

Dunboyne got their IHC campaign back on track with plenty to spare over Gaeil Colmcille at Kiltale while favourites Rathmolyon made it two from two at Dunganny.

Friday: After a draw with Kilmessan in round 1 Ratoath picked up their first win in this year’s SHC with five points to spare over Na Fianna on Pitch 6 at Devenish Park Dunganny. Na Fianna led at the break 2-9 to 1-8 but the Jubilee Cup holders outscored their opposition 0-14 to 0-4 in the second half to secure victory.

Drumree made it two from two with a goal to spare over Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Intermediate Hurling Championship at Batterstown.

Last year’s finalists Wolfe Tones also picked up their first win in the Intermediate Hurling Championship B. After an opening round draw with Boardsmill they had 7 points to spare over the 2025 JHC winners Kiltale.
