Replying To downtothecore:  "The management talent obviously isn't there..."
The managers and coaches are out there the problem is they are Young and the county board are scared to change the mould and they keep bringing in people that have a big name in the county....... the name doesn't coach teams and develop player the COACH does

To be honest we beat ourselves last night, No doubt the players and management, will watch the game over again, and see were mistakes were made both on the pitch and on the side line, But all credit to everyone involved, on delivering our first Ulster title in 12 years, I do think this is a first class management team , who are only at the start of their journey, Ihave no doubt they will bring more glory days back to Down

Yeah this management team has now set the template of how we should prepare and setup our down teams so that we can be consistently competitive at all levels. It didnt finish well last night but we all know they are going the right way and the all ireland success we all grave will come again.

Good Down team and management - Didn't take chances and these lads can improve with experience - The only concern to me was Rossies had 3/4 tricky forwards who could eek out a score when needed and Down had maybe 2 out and out score takers.

Plenty of mistakes by both teams which is to be expected at that grade and in fairness conditions wasn't the best with a slippy ball.

Down lead at half time due to a goal right before the break which came from sloppy Roscommon play. Won't win many matches scoring only 0-3 in a 2nd half and just one score from play which was early in the 2nd half.
