Replying To Horsebox77:  "Was it not his brother Brian McGuire that was on the panel in Fitz's time?

Watched Fossa's game online, jez DC is some player but in that game kerry hurler Jordan Conway had some outing at centre back"
I looked it up and they were both on it. Jack was only on it for a short enough period around 2015 but Brian got a lot of games in the league and came on in 5 championship games. He was there even before Fitzmaurice.

Kingdomboy, €40 back out of €120 for the season ticket, bit of a joke eh? The decent thing would surely have been to give ye the 2021 Season Ticket for free!!

Looks like we can forget about any crowd at a GAA game for 2020. I was really hoping they'd bump it up to 500 so that I might wriggled my way into Crotta's opening game in the Championship against the reigning champions Causeway next week.

It would be just typical if we finally ended the Famine and had no supporters there on the day and no pub in Kilflynn allowed open to help celebrate!!!

Christ, I suppose they'll be many a pub in Kerry that will never open again now. Dingle and Killarney will do ok, but this will decimate so many small other towns and villages.

What would Kilflynn be like without Parkers or Herberts there. They really are the heart of the community.

Replying To Kerry15:  ""But I reckon I found a new Kerry defender - in Dublin.

The best defensive display I witnessed last weekend came from Kerry-native Jack McGuire, who gave a masterclass for St Jude's.

A Sigerson Cup winner, he was briefly on the Kerry squad when Éamonn Fitzmaurice was in charge.

He is tall, athletic and physical - and didn't give Dublin's All-Ireland medal winner Conor McHugh a look-in. He has all the attributes needed to be a top-class county-standard defender."

Interesting from Pat Spillane's column. Anyone seen much of the former Listowel club man?"
Well spotted.i saw Jack Maguire play full back for st, Judes last year (only saw him once) but was very impressed with him.A Listowel man and yes a brother of Brian who was on Kerry panel for a few years before he went abroad(I think)Brian was good too but agree Jack certainly worth a look.

Ya the typical grab all association the hermit, €40 back so you could say we payed the equivalent of €20 per game it's worse for the kids who paid €30 for their season tickets and only got €10 back and considering they would have been free into those league games.

Ya this Covid is going to be detrimental to our county and all other counties outside of leinster, pubs shops and 1 factory in tralee all ready gone, another generation will have to leave Kerry to find work, its desperate, like you say we in Dingle and killarney will be grand (hopefully)

Best of luck to crotta in the championship.

The TG4 cameras will be in Austin Stack Park on Friday, 21 August, as Dr Crokes - club and county championship in 2018, 2019 finalists - and Austin Stacks go head-to-head [throw-in 7.30pm] in the opening knockout battle.

It's winner takes all across the board, with RTÉ providing live coverage of the Killarney Legion and Kerins O'Rahillys showdown at Killarney's Fitzgerald Stadium that Sunday [throw-in 3.45pm

FYI they're also streaming the four opening rounds of the the county hurling championship this Friday and Saturday from Austin Stack Park, great to get the chance to see them when we can't be there in person!

Just heard that Jack Maguire has been called into Dessie Farrell's squad. He has the potential to nail down a place in the full-back line as either a starter or a replacement. More power to him!

We are the county that just keep on giving, has any other county given as much to gaelic football as Kerry have?
I dont think so.

I listened to an interview with Jack last week on Kerry radio and he said he if he was called into Kerry panel he would def say yes so I would imagine if he was called in to Dubs panel he surely would ve made contact with Peter Keane or someone on Kerry board. It might be just a rumour as Dublin fairly solid in back department but if true best of luck to him.

Having heard the interview i'm inclined to agree with your post then thr previous ones.

But this is the intercounty off season or what pundits refer to as the silly season for filling sports columns

When the clubs involved or their divisional team exit the County Championship. The quarters, semis and finals will then be scheduled along with the district championships fixtures.

All tmw nights county U14 games are off. I'd say our short season will be shortened even more.

Where i understand the conceipt surely county by county should be as per localised outbreaks.

Worrying times

Dark days indeed, the thing that gets me is the total lack of explanation by the Gov. I can be inside with 50 strangers at a wedding but I can't stand on a terrace in the open air socially distancing from people???!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Strong sharp statement from the GAA HQ tonight, show us the evidence for this decision or cop on!
