I've been looking for one for years as I always loved that 1988-1991 jersey; sure I even started a thread here last year asking if anyone knew where I'd get my hands on one, if I remember correctly you steered me towards Castleisland but ya eventually got my hands on a 1989 league issue, long sleeved number 16 - the issue pre the display of a sponsor I think it is one of the nicest jerseys we ever produced, but anyway ya got my hands on it.. Santa will be kind. Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5002 - 05/12/2014 12:09:21 1676829 Link 1 |

I hear you horse, I'm ready to go right now, can't wait for McGrath cup, I'm half thinking of buying the Kerry jersey they brought out for us winning the allireland with the number 14 and champions on it, I can't really afford it but if I don't get it now will I be sorry when there gone? I don't know what to do. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 12165 - 06/12/2014 21:42:41 1677144 Link 0 |
ya K'boy1: Being honest personally I find it hard to justify paying that price for a new GAA jersey, the prices are gone a bit mad and we are coming very similar to the Soccer set up of new jerseys every second year… Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5002 - 08/12/2014 10:03:32 1677311 Link 1 |
In fairness, I think there after announcing that this will be the jersey for the next three years, so I'm happy enough with that. Havn't bought a jersey since 2009 one so think its time to upgrade... TheHermit (Kerry) - Posts: 5927 - 08/12/2014 21:53:39 1677514 Link 0 |
Ya horse the jerseys are pricey nowadays and I'm looking forward to see what the away jersey and goalie jersey looks like. KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 12165 - 09/12/2014 20:28:20 1677704 Link 0 |
K'biy1: lot of the money from the jersey sales go towards the team. - does it? Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5002 - 09/12/2014 21:21:42 1677715 Link 1 |
I think it does horse , isn't that why the county board changed our crest so they could cash in on it , cause they couldn't do it on the old one? KingdomBoy1 (Kerry) - Posts: 12165 - 10/12/2014 10:28:27 1677760 Link 0 |
If I could divert away from the talk about Kerry jerseys for a second!. I always believed that Tralee town, contained 3 senior football teams, Austin Stacks, Kerins O'Rahillys, and John Mitchels. However,I recently read on a website that John Mitchels are no longer a senior club. thelongridge (Offaly) - Posts: 1215 - 22/12/2014 18:43:33 1679817 Link 0 |
