Suppose everyone needs to moan about something, the Irish way.

Should have looked to play the international game under lights midweek. No one in their right mind would miss a county final but midweek may have given players a chance to play in both.

Having the live coverage on TG4 is a disaterous move and suicidal to the series.
Amazed they dont realise this.
How stupid can they be

Just like it killed the National league Liam? Or the way it killed the club championship?

Got Milk
IR is a game no one knows the rules to! They need a commentator to explain what they are watching, surely you can see this???
Also there would have been a huge potential floating audience for this game that had it been on RTE, in English, would have watched it who now with it being in Iriah and they not understanding it, wont bother. You might not like that, but you cant deny its a fact. They have lost a big share of their potential audience by it being on TG4.

Do they want this to succeed or not like!

u can bitch nd moan about people not loving the language etc etc but the fact it most people dont speak it, dont understand it and now, wont watch it.

And they tell you then they want people to embrace this????

If people are interested in it Liam they will watch it. And if they've learned Irish in school they will understand quite a lot of hwat is being said. It is not someone explaining the Theory of Relativity!

far too simplistic hurlingdub
i would be pretty sure if people are like "i dunno will i bother" and they then see its on TG4 in a language they cant understand, most will be like "couldnt be arsed"

Perhaps TG4 have it because RTE didn't want it? Not sure what the viewing figures were for last series but I wouldn't imagine they are expecting a huge audience. Having been in Croke Park for last one I wouldn't watch it myself. Dreadful dogs vomit of a game.

was looking at an AFL forum and most of the people on it were pretty annoyed it was all aborigines. Some went as far as calling it racist and said they they will likely get abuse from the stands in Ireland. Another thing i noticed was how little people cared about it. The most common question was 'when is it on'.

23 man Irish squad announced. Only 11 counties represented, and all of them will be playing in divisions 1 &2 next year.

What was it people were saying about this charade giving lads from smaller counties the chance to represent their country?

Disappointed only 11 counties represented. Should be strong side if all players will be in top divisions of league next year
But was International rules not created to give all players a chance to represent their country not just those from "smaller counties"

Anyway I like the games. Been to a few tests before and should watch some of the upcoming games on tv

It so strange not having a player from the most successful football county in Ireland.
