If the GAA's best players are not interested in playing on this team then whats the point of the whole thing. Meridian (Westmeath) - Posts: 674 - 08/10/2013 16:52:46 1497956 Link 0 |
Bizarre selection! If Johnny Doyle isn't too old, then where is International Rules stalwart Benny Coulter! Gabriel. (Down) - Posts: 412 - 08/10/2013 17:33:34 1497986 Link 0 |

Surprised no Kevin Reilly in one sense and in another not. As it was on one of these he did his back injury that has caused so much problems. royaldunne (Meath) - Posts: 19449 - 08/10/2013 18:24:23 1498018 Link 0 |
We may not have all players available but Australia have intentionally limited their selection options for the series so there should be no excuses. Jack_Sparrow (Westmeath) - Posts: 1035 - 08/10/2013 18:42:53 1498037 Link 0 |

darren o sullivan was going to be picked but club commitments ruled him out kerryluck (Kerry) - Posts: 2517 - 08/10/2013 18:51:56 1498044 Link 0 |
Looking forward to the series. Our national sport should have some sort of national team and there is no greater honour then representing your country. I'd say the Irish players would love to play against full time professional athletes to compare their ability and show their worth. It also gives inter-county players the chance to play with lads from other counties and every few years the chance of a trip to Australia. seamusmac (Meath) - Posts: 379 - 08/10/2013 19:16:10 1498061 Link 0 |
lads it's a sad day when no Kerry player is interested in the sport... just proves what players actually make of the whole thing, the GAA would be better suited to investing the money in the Railway Cups Horsebox77 (Kerry) - Posts: 5491 - 08/10/2013 19:39:48 1498076 Link 0 |

Im surprised Pearce Hanley isn't involved. Maybe he's injured though? The man is a beast and a superb footballer aswell. If Mayo had him involved.... Lockjaw (Donegal) - Posts: 9698 - 09/10/2013 09:39:17 1498235 Link 0 |

Niall Morgan is picked coz (like Cluxton) he's also an outfield player with a great kickout. keeper7 (Longford) - Posts: 4088 - 09/10/2013 09:52:03 1498241 Link 0 |
Players like Munnelly and McCaffrey were selected for Speed. FoolsGold (Cavan) - Posts: 2868 - 09/10/2013 09:55:56 1498244 Link 0 |
I'd imagine Benny Coulter isn't selected because he was monumentally off the pace in the Championship this year. The Face (Monaghan) - Posts: 890 - 09/10/2013 09:58:12 1498246 Link 0 |
