I thought Dublin were as poor as I've seen them in a very long time. Their backs in general done ok but the forwards first touch let them down so often. Kk themselves were going through the motions

Never looked like winning but at least it was a step up from the bad hammerings of the previous three years.

Going the right way I think and beating Wexford and a possible quarter final place was the height of expectations for most of us for Donoghue's first year. First done, and second will depend on last round. Won't be broken hearted if we miss out, but would be great to finish with a really strong performance against Galway in Croke Park.

Replying To TomWex:  "Really looking forward to the 2 Munster matches in particular tomorrow but I feel Clare play risky stuff on the edge, a kind of 80% aggression game which has been going very well so far. But if a referee decides to implement the rules of the game Clare could be in trouble. I do love watching them and in actual fact I'm going to Ennis tomorrow and will be shouting for Clare - I hope the ref let's the game flow and the epic Munster comes continue tomorrow. As for the other match my money would be on Tipp if Forde was playing , a massive loss"
No bigger loss than Finn, so often our mainstay in defence and a brilliantly inventive Corner Back.

You've Casey and English available that didn't start the last day. Tipp have Bonner Maher who wouldn't score if there was no one else on the pitch!
Forde is tipps marquee forward by a distance and a top free taker…of course he's a bigger loss!! Just because Finn is best corner back in the country - Limerick have ready made replacements!
Take any one player out of Limericks team and they'll never equate to the loss the likes of Forde, TK or a prime TJ would be to their counties

Can't see anything other than a limerick win today. 3 week rest, listening to every journo writing them after losing their first championship match in years by a point. If I was Tipp I'd have loved to play limerick the weekend after the clare game. I ferl Tipp losing Forde is a bigger loss than Limerick losing Finn. If folk were wondering where Kiely was gonna find his motivation this year. Everyone outside the county has given it to him. The bear has been poked. In short.... God help Tipp.

Bloody Cork. If our games against them were 55mins long we'd have 25 Munster Championships and three times as many all Irelands. Going 7-8 pts up against any team in the 1st half is usually a good sign, not against bloody Cork though. Too many times we've been drowned by the 2nd half red wave.
For us, today I feel we need a good first half. Play like we played against Waterford/Tipp in the first half and Cork will be out of sight. Need to control the aggression and understand that not every ref will ref it like the Lim match. All these frees will eventually cost us at some point in the championship. Hopefully not today.

Ya Kelly did himself no favours. Simulation is becoming a bit synonymous with this Clare panel

Cork vs Clare great game. Cork showed great spirit to fight back but Clare are probably slightly better. Clare half backs were exceptional all game, Diarmuid Ryan showed great leadership and is growing into an absolutely exceptional hurler.

The Offaly hurlers were relegated 5 years ago and have made their first McDonagh final this year. Laois have missed out on the McDonagh final. Contrasting fortunes for the Leinster U20 finalists at senior level.

If Antrim beat Westmeath and Kilkenny beat Wexford next week Wexford will be relegated to the Joe McDonagh

Today showed all that's best in Gaa hurling championship..two fantastic and exciting games in Munster which means a straight shoot it between limerick and cork..looking very like a Clare/tipp final..as for leinster, what a result from 16 points down for Westmeath..if Antrim win next week,Wexford are relegated.this kind of stuff can't be written..think Galway/Kilkenny are laughing at Munster counties knocking lumps out of each other..

Not impressed with any players feigning injury. I didn't think Cork were desperately unlucky though. Clare were full value for their win. I thought they were the better team overall.
It's set up for a huge showdown next weekend in the Gaelic Grounds.
