What a cracker in cork??both defences struggled but forwards on both sides looked lethal..cork will probably be more disappointed as they had great goal chances in first 15 mins but didn't take them.tynan again a real find for tipp..I also thought Dalton kept cork going when it didn't look great for them..can a cork person please explain why Kingston isn't a nailed on starter for them,I think he's a super forward..I hope some of the high late hits are highlighted as much as Limerick..I thought especially one from Ronan maher in first half..I'd also question a very obvious foul on tynan at a vital stage and the steps taken for o Flynn goal..that result means huge games left in Munster now..anothe match on Gaa go next Saturday,I was lucky to be able to see the match tonight because of the house I was in,won't be in that position next week.is it a double helping of football again on free to air next weekend?? We'll have to beat Kilkenny again and hope other results go our way

Not sure how you feel Cork would be more disappointed? Tipp threw that game away. Cork looked gone on a couple of occasions and fair play to them for dragging themselves back into it but you would have to question the Tipp defence.

Munster Championship at its best I was thinking before the game Tipp could win this but yet again from a winning position we let it slip. Cork now with two tough away games against teams also fighting for that coveted 3rd spot. Limerick and Tipp now is a crucial game if Tipp win Limerick are staring down the barrel but if Limerick win Tipp could crumble like our full back line is at the moment. Limerick won't pass on those goal opportunities Cork missed last night. I actually fear Limerick could go to town on us unless we shore up big time. Apart from CB in that full back line we are wide open and Cork saw that. What a Waterford win next Saturday night would bring to the Munster Championship. You have to play and beat Westmeath, before you start getting ideas about finishing 3rdm

Not typically the biggest hurling fan but tuned in last night on GGAGo. What a spectacle it was and the second half was enthralling. It just flew by. I really enjoyed it. I would often keep an eye out for Antrim's results as they are Ulster's only real hurling representative that can have a go at the bigger sides. But last night was something else. I am going to try and watch as many of the remaining Munster Championship games as I can if last night is the benchmark(I had seen the Limerick highlights last week and thought I will tune in to the next game of hurling and boy was I glad I did).

If Tipp beat Limerick and Clare beat Waterford, I think Limerick are in huge trouble

It's not a done deal yet legend. Exactly the same position as last year (Dublin dropping a point against Antrim most likely irrelevant now after last night.) Wexford are well capable of beating the stripey men in Wexford, especially given that Kilkenny will most likely be on 7 points and assured of a final place anyway. Motivation will all be on Wexford's side and they'll fill the place for that I'd say. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4550 - 07/05/2023 12:28:41 2476331 Link 0 |

Kingston has incredible talent but while he is very hit and miss as a starter, he always plays excellent as a sub. He scored 0-7 from play as a sub in the AI semi final vs Kilkenny a few years back and when introduced last night he was our best forward. That said it is likely that he will start the next day if Robbie O Flynn isn't back from injury.

A neighbour of mine who is 70 and a Cork hurling fanatic was telling me that he doesn't go to games any more and couldn't watch any hurling this weekend. He doesn't have a smart phone nor any internet access. He used to drive all over the country to watch Cork. slayer (Limerick) - Posts: 6634 - 07/05/2023 13:11:08 2476350 Link 2 |

Munster championship is generally value for money. There's going to be two dissappointed teams after the four games, one team very disappointed.. Impossible to call

"KIlkenny will most likely be on 7 points" So you are already conceding that Kilkenny will beat Dublin? PoolSturgeon (Galway) - Posts: 2153 - 07/05/2023 13:46:29 2476368 Link 1 |

"Most likely." I would be surprised if Dublin beat Kilkenny, as would the rest of the hurling universe. That does not mean it might not happen, and I will be there, le cúnamh Dé, shouting for them. BarneyGrant (Dublin) - Posts: 4550 - 07/05/2023 13:55:25 2476369 Link 1 |

I think Wexford will surprise people and beat Dublin with a bit to spare. I went for Dublin to get out of Leinster but in my ignorance I didnt realise they are down so many household names this year. Huge boost for whoever wins this one ExiledInWex (Dublin) - Posts: 1635 - 07/05/2023 15:38:01 2476405 Link 0 |
