Galway or Dublin might be quarter-final opponents for Kerry, if Kerry get that far.

Is flat just another word for bad now?

Since provincial final repeats or group stage repeats will be avoided it is more likely to be for instance:

Derry vs Tyrone
Galway vs Kerry
Dublin vs Armagh
Mayo vs Monaghan

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

As there's a draw for all the KO stages predictions now are are rather silly.

What happens after the preliminary quarter final round, does the winner of that game play the top team in their group.
Lets say Galway top their group and Tyrone and Armagh play in the preliminary round, would Galway then play either Tyrone or Armagh in the quarter final.

Armagh can't play any teams in their group in the prelim game or quarter final

After the quarter finals playoff round they'll try to avoid a repeat of two teams that played each other in provincial final or in the round robin group.

No that would be ludicrous.

I haven't seen anything outside of them saying that the group winners would play the prelim winners. They haven't said which group winners.

Great to see three Connacht teams (60%) in the top five.

Good to see, and Sligo might make it there in the future, too. However, if you ever want to reach 100%, you'll have to ship Leitrim up to Ulster.

The Tailteann Cup has a good prize of home advantage in the quarter-finals. The All-Ireland championship should offer that carrot as well. Home advantage in the quarter-finals or choice of venue meeting certain criteria. Grounds that currently are considered for provincial finals should meet the criteria required for All-Ireland quarter-finals. If the list is known at the start, there can be no complaints.

The media always call Donegal v Derry a derby but all the players are from South Derry. Donegal aren't our neighbours, South Antrim and East Tyrone are our neighbours.

Interesting point. Donegals border with Derry is much smaller than its one with Tyrone and is mainly the greater Derry city area.

I can see Donegal being really up for this though and could cause ye a bit of bother. Derry should have more quality but you never know.

What will James O'Donoghue make of Kerry defending with 15 men in their own half against Cork?
