All-Ireland Senior Football Championship 2023

Replying To legendzxix:  "The Tailteann Cup has a good prize of home advantage in the quarter-finals. The All-Ireland championship should offer that carrot as well. Home advantage in the quarter-finals or choice of venue meeting certain criteria. Grounds that currently are considered for provincial finals should meet the criteria required for All-Ireland quarter-finals. If the list is known at the start, there can be no complaints."
It would have to be home or venue of first choice. I think Donegal or Derry should be allowed to select Clones if they reach a QF. I know the GAA are worried about capacity but keep them out of Croke Park.

Enjoyable game in PUC, Cork did well and may think the penalty a bit harsh. Replay didn't show the Kerry lad totally unmarked on front of the goal so a simple pass and a goal was definitely on, and in fairness timing a cynical foul so it's just outside the box shouldn't be rewarded. I thought it was a fair call.

And now in Kilkenny it looks like today was the day a lot of Dub fans realized the Luas doesn't serve Kilkenny. Very poor crowd from both counties, it has to be said. Enjoyable contest though.

Disagree. Dublin usually bring a good away support and there seems to be a lot of blue in the crowd.

Kildare playing into Dublin's hands, I know it's not pretty but why have they abandoned the strategy that worked so well in Leinster? Dublin I'd say can't believe their luck! Hope they haven't bowed to the public and pundit pressure.

Yes! 60% of the 200 people there are from Dublin.

Media said Nolan Park was a sell out…far from it. I see a dub online giving out about it on in Kilkenny…Jesus a dub complaining about traveling away for a GAA game is a bit rich.

Kildare looking like a team saving themselves for the Roscommon game, woeful second half performance.

And another crazy conspiracy sees the light of day :-)

You do realise that your own team are not bad? Kildare are dreadful. Lucky not be in their rightful berth in Division 3 and Tailteann. Next year will see that.

Neither Dublin not Kerry will be lifting Sam this year.

Ps why oh why was this game not in Kildare? It's a league format. Dublin fans have no divine right to tickets and how sweet it would be to see Dublin play an actual game away in the opponents ground once and awhile.

Looks like Like are fans voted with their feet.

True, I mistakenly thought Kildare were better than that though. Ye must be happy with that response, intensity levels back and clinical shooting.

Ah come on now! Kilkenny is far too modest to think the Luas serves him! He's happy enough with 7 celtic crosses in his back pocket and 6 All Stars!

Could it be that Dublin and Kerry are waiting to peak after the round robin and just doing enough to get by? It's an unknown and long year and we won't know for sure until knock out if teams are timing their run for after the round robin.

I wouldn't take today as indicating much really, Dublin a lot better but against really weak opposition, and still inclined to be wasteful. Could and should have won that by twice the margin and with 2/3 goals.

Not for the pleasure of hammering them, but because they won't be getting so many off anyone else.

Dubs travel in good numbers and it seems like Kildare are the ones who haven't travelled today.
