Replying To legendzxix:  "Westmeath v Cavan is a strong possibility for the inaugural final. Both are well capable of promotion to Division 2 next year and to be challenging each other to stay there the year after. Has the potential to be an interesting rivalry over the next few years. Offaly and Sligo of course will have a lot to say about this."
Sure you didn't even think they'd win their quarter finals...

Correct. I backed the underdogs. I'm going for the favourites in the next round.

Got them badly wrong though. Went against 2 very strong favourites with not much to back it up. Anyways, just found the switcheroo funny

I cannot see past Cavan for this competition. Offaly will run them close.

I thought RTE were supposed to be showing the semi finals? According to GAA website RTE 2 were to show both games. RTE website says Limerick v Cork and Armagh v Donegal in qualifiers is being shown Sunday?

Cavan and Westmeath are rightly favourites. Offaly and Sligo are well capable of pulling off an upset however.

I still fancy Cavan to come through as winners but a great first year. Some really good games.

Has anyone bought tickets off Ticketmaster for Sundays games ? Seems to be just unreserved tickets in hogan stand section, does that mean you can sit wherever you want within lower Hogan, first come first served....

Yeah that's the way it was for the league finals. Only certain sections open. It's unreserved, so no set seating, just sit where you like.

Hard to see a big crowd. There's a big gap between the games so it won't intice supporters from the second game to come early and watch the first game and vica versa. The competition needs a weaker county to win this competition especially in it's first year so hopefully we will account for Cavan. I love how Cavan are renowned as a traditionalist county steeped in GAA. The record books from the last 70 years doesn't back that up.

Some games are unreserved. I've seen that before. All supporters will probably be in the lower Hogan. The TV cameras will probably be on the opposite side. A low crowd will probably mean a Saturday semi-final next year. The hurling quarter-finals then will probably be restored to Sunday.
