Seamus , did you wish Banty best of luck when Corduff were the Ulster final for the first time in their history.

Some achievemenet to win the double second time in 100 years and were winner of club of the year. they are shinning example of what can be done with good management.

Any of the opposition players, selectors or management who were subjected to vey personal verbal aswell as multiple cases of physical abuse might just disagree with your assessment of a "shinning example". The accounts of what went on are a disgrace and the real gaels amongst us wouldn't try to justify it for some silverware. All that is before we get into the issue of the referees on the line and their conduct.

You don't like the management Blueblood, don't hide behind refs. It's great that finally a Monaghan team stood up for themselves for once.

For one of Monaghan's smallest parish to win a Double get to a Ulster final for the first time in their history, they were almost relegated last year is some achievement.

It show you what good management can do they are a credit to the county.

You surely living up to your name. Nibbling at Banty's cheese. I wished Malachy and Glen "good luck" as for the many years that I have known Malachy I have found him to be a total gentleman and a true sportsman. As regards Corduff making the Ulster Intermediate final, I believe that was more the Johney Cash influence than the prowess of Banty and his battalion. I did wish the Galbally lads "good luck" in the final as I had two family connections involved with the Pearses. As regards your "Golden Boy" a failure with Monaghan twice, a failure with Meath, a failure with Wexford, dubiously making an Ulster Final with Corduff. Compared to Malachy, a winner with Monaghan, a winner with the Loup, a winner with the Gaels, a winner with Errigal, a winner with Latton, damn close with Fermanagh, winner with Glen and the list goes on. As regards the Club of the Year award, well I can think of at least 5 clubs in Monaghan more deserving namely Clontibret, Latton, Aughnamullen, Killeevan and Truagh.

Is Corduff actually a parish? Its a big one if it is, running all the way from Carrickmacross to below Shercock.

Winning an Intermediate double? Quite common in Monaghan. Were all the managers who did so geniuses? Maybe, maybe not.

What good management can do? Lose an Ulster final... someone does that every year.

No problem with your statement but can you give reason for mentioning these 5 clubs as potential Clubs of the Year??
