0-22 is a very good return away and in that weather. Galway offered very little in fairness.
Do we really want to be in a league final?

You got carried away by your park the bus last year when Dublin were barely training.

Dessie be looking at serious teams like Kerry. Mayo, Derry. and a few other Ulster teams.

They don't rate the primroses I'm afraid,

I think so realdub. Another crack at a national title is always good. We're in the privileged position of easing ourselves through Leinster as opposed to Derry who have a tough Ulster ahead of them. Send all the lads out who've done well in the league. Be nice to see Dessie get a league also, not to be sniffed at!

Maybe so onion, either way, we're going well.

Very happy with the way the Dubs are moving at the minute, playing some great football, and it's been a pleasure to watch them, they've been looking good and moving very well.

Looks like Dublin are going to have a healthy panel with plenty of options across the summer. They've some serious talent to return and those boys will want to be playing well in training, because there's lads there now wanting their jersey.

That's all very healthy and there's going to be some competition going on behind closed doors.

It's as if the AI win last summer has rejuvenated them, rather than drain them. I know it's just the league but even the games they lost, they still played well.

Would very much like to see them get into the final, big crowd in Croke Park and ideal preparation for the championship.

Still a very tough game ahead before that happens, but again, whatever the outcome, as a supporter I'm happy with what I've seen to date.

Hey, leave them alone!

It's not their fault Stillorgan has become the epicentre of the world's gangland and Garda stations in the area are bursting at the seams with county footballers.

I can understand an Ulster or Connaught county saying that but it is bizarre when it comes from a Dublin fan. Your next competitive game is in June so why wouldn't you want to be in a league final.

The league final is unnecessary, Derry should be champions as it stands. I'd prefer not to risk players for these type of games but we probably have enough to fringe players to give Derry a game.

Agree a league is supposed to a league

Don't forget what happened in '21 realdub. They were hammered by kerry in league 6-15 to 1-14 and 3 months later were AI champions, just sayin' ;-)

Have to say lads I've always been a fan of the league. Especially when we had that barren spell from 83 to 95. We won 3 leagues in that time, 87, 91, 93. It was just nice to win a bit of national silverware as it felt like, back then, we were never going to win another AI.

Does anyone remember back when there'd be quarters, semis, and a final. Top 4 div 1, top 2 from div 2, and winners of 3 and 4, loved all that.

I think at least having a final squares things up a bit as there's always going to be an imbalance playing each team only once with 3 home games and 4 away or vice versa. Unless they turned it into playing 14 games, each team home and away and called it the AI Championship. ;-)

Sure winning the league didn't do any of Gavins teams any harm. ;-)

True, but they played Mayo in that final, and we all know Mayo can only lift themselves for Kerry or Dublin!

No it didn't do that team any harm at all, and it was then that other counties started putting importantance on the league.
Just because we were winning both at the time they came to the conclusion that winning the league was a big stepping stone to AI success.
Not so, last year being a good example.
