Good point tbf Sligo but it does speed up the game and you cannot dive on the ball or pick it up while lying on the ground. The men's pick up has no skill and very rarely done properly anyway. The quick chip up would be used anyway as its quicker and that is a skill.

That is a serious issue with the Ladies pick up, the amount of head collisions unfortunately.

Candidate for GOAT in either code.

Dublin very sharp. Thought ref was going to frustrate them but Kerry been forced to foul now to stop pace.

Whinging about cynicism sounds just as tiresome as Gaeilige.

Congrats Dublin, talented footballers, massive victory. I have to say that the arm holding was a no risk tactic
by Dublin. The ref. reinforced it by not using cards for persistent fouling. I do not want to take from the victory
of Dublin, it was well deserved.

Congratulations Dublin. 18 points is great kicking in 60 mins of football. The likes of some of those points wouldn't be out of place in men's game. It'll be a short, sweet winter in Dublin, but a long, dour one down in the Kingdom. Tough on Kerry again today; 30 year wait goes on. I was actually living in Ireland, in Kerry the last time that Kerry brought home the Brendan Martin Cup. And it does indeed feel like a lifetime ago.

Couldn't understand how some Dublin players didn't get a card for some of their challenges in the All Ireland final.

Were you not watching the match because at least 3 of them did. What's that got to do with ladies final anyway?

An excellent honest game between 2 sides that went at it hammer and thongs. Dublin were by far the best team and the referee was very good. Why do some people insist on criticism of referee straight away.

Not yet but getting close Realdub ha ha. Ah at least the weather stayed fine. Obviously I was more disappointed with the men's game but sure I suppose I want to win everything. Dublin way too strong today and very athletic. Great fortnight for Dublin gaa and we'll done.

Wow - what a very comprehensive victory for the Jackies today.

To do a Double over Kerry is mighty special tbh.

And even all the more pleasing considering our ladies lost to them twice already this year.
But today there was absolutely no disputing who were the superior team.
Better team by far won - no excuses.

Dublin had 7 scorers today, and much like their male counterparts the kerry ladies, also rely on 1 player to get the majority of their scores.

This was our 9th Final in a decade, some achievement.
It was our 5th win in the past 7 seasons.

I think the win is all the more remarkable considering we lost some stalwarts since last year and the year before, some massive names in Ladies Gaelic Football.

Such similarities to the men this year - written off by many and out to prove a point.
One last hurrah for a couple also perhaps.

Massive credit to Mick Bohan for turning this season around and timing the run to perfection.

To score 18pts in Ladies football is no mean feat - and to beat a fancied Kerry team also....

Ath Cliath Abú.

ps Make mine a DOUBLE.... ;o)

There was a great personal battle between Kerry forward Louise Ní Muirceartaigh, and Dublin defender Lauren Caffrey. They battled each other all the match.

It was indeed some battle.
Leah was immense against their star player Ní Muirceartaigh.

No doubt Kerry will be challenging again next year for the Ladies title.

But from a Dublin point of view, it was great to right the previous wrongs....

Well done to Dublin today, great pace and athleticism all over the field. Ladies football is a great game to watch and the game is much better to watch than Ladies soccer or rugby which can be error strewn and generally a poor standard.

I mean Leah Caffrey, not Lauren Caffrey. Anyway well done Dubs, well done Kerry. A great final.
