Kerry Vs Tyrone

Replying To KingdomBoy1:  "Does it make you feel uncomfortable knowing that money was more important to the dublin county board than backing up their fellow Gaels against the railway jackeen? A 5 year ban for our footballers for standing up for themselves and our supporters, crazy stuff.

Sure travel doesn't effect dublin footballers or supporters so it doesn't matter."

Surely they'll need more than 6 days to get better? More and more cases might come out over the coming days and just how fit can they be if they had Covid. It's a real shame for them.

Just see where it's confirmed semi gone back to saturday the 21st..this is s very serious situation, the health and welfare of all the players and management is more important than any match..what happens if some of these cases are not cleared up,where will it leave f/ball championship if Tyrone can't play semi..?

Game postponed. Sensible thing to do given the circumstances. Sligo weren't so fortunate last year.

None of the players health is in danger. They probably didn't even know they had it until pinged.

Another bye for Kerry to the final.
It's like the 80s all over again.

I know and I was worried for Tyrone that what happened to Sligo would happen to them when this news broke, it's great news that the game is postponed and I hope its enough time for Tyrone to be some way ready.

But it was bad from what the gaa did to Sligo.

I agree, postponing the game in the circumstances makes sense but why wasn't the same solution applied to the Sligo situation last year. Is it a case of one law for the bigger teams and a different law for the smaller teams? Only asking!!!

Speedy recover to all those involved. I'm sure Kerry would much rather test themselves against as strong a Tyrone team as possible as opposed to a walkover or a severely depleted side.

Kerry never got a bye into all ireland final. It was hurling that teams got byes into all ireland final. I'm afraid you have your facts very very wrong.

Think you could be right. Name of the game is precautionary measures which is sensible.

What happens if Kerry have an outbreak (heaven forbid) next week? Another postponement?

While it's great to have the game rescheduled, the crux of the issue still remains, many of the squad who were tested two days ago have tested positive and will be expected to remain in self isolation until the day of the game, which is disastrous for Tyrone as I think a fully fit outfit had the potential to certainly put it up to Kerry.

If they had got a postponement it would have only delayed the inevitable….. Cork and Limerick at a totally different level to Dublin at the moment

If Tyrone can't fulfil the fixture then Cavan should play the semi as Ulster representatives given were last to hold the title.
