Kidare are going nowhere this year anyway. We should finally be the first county to have the balls to make a stand and refuse to play anywhere but at home. Daith (Kildare) - Posts: 1172 - 25/06/2018 18:32:23 2114864 Link 7 |

You have proof of this corruption? Newbridge holds 8500 people and way more want to see the match. carlovia (None) - Posts: 1556 - 25/06/2018 18:40:04 2114869 Link 0 |

St Conlaiths is a not fit for purpose place for serious Inter-county attendance, this is the second time Kildare has played the poor mouth. GAA should simply turn around state a minimum size and state requirement for Super 8 participation this is ridiculous. Kildare invested in the Hawkfield centre of excellence which they are very selective in who they let play on it, instead of investing in St Comlaith's. St Conlaiths is a shocking ground and I would replace Kildare with another county able to compete at this level.

So what? When we hosted Tyrone in an Ulster championship opener a few years back there was a whole lot more that wanted in, but Donegal county board said in no uncertain terms it was to be in Ballybofey, end of story. There are matches every year that are sellouts and people are left without tickets. It happens. Fair play to Kildare county board, I hope they stick to their guns. It will most likely be one way traffic for you in the game but Monaghan is the county the 'weaker' ones should be copying.

'GAA should simply turn around state a minimum size and state requirement for Super 8 participation this is ridiculous.' Maybe they should..... but you realise they haven't right ? For either the qualifiers or the Super 8. You can't just make up rules as you go along in the middle of a competition. There is no rule regarding ability to house a certain attendance dictating whether the team drawn at home are actually allowed to play at home. Until there is, Kildare are absolutely 100% right on this. We all have issues with our county Board but genuinely proud of the stand they are making and the statement they have made. The GAA will not be budging on their decision to fix Saturday's round three All-Ireland football qualifier between Kildare and Mayo for Croke Park - despite the clear threat from Kildare that they will not be showing up. TheUsername (Dublin) - Posts: 4541 - 25/06/2018 19:38:22 2114900 Link 0 |

Best statement from Cian all year. County Board has to stand firm with no compromise, Conleths or nowhere. Issue tickets. St.Conleth (Kildare) - Posts: 1745 - 25/06/2018 19:39:52 2114902 Link 3 |

Stick to your guns Kildare. Fair is fair. Kildare got the home advantage and ye should have the choice of where this game is played. Good chance a lot of people wont be able to get to go to the game but thats not the point. Kildare management are very clear they want to play at home so thats where it should be in my opinion. The GAA needs a kick in the hole for this decision Equineburger (Mayo) - Posts: 30 - 25/06/2018 19:44:45 2114904 Link 2 |

I've never been more proud of Kildare men , fair play to all taking this stand absolutely dead right aswell and I hope the team we get in the super 8's does the exact same thing. clondalkindub (Dublin) - Posts: 9926 - 25/06/2018 19:53:55 2114909 Link 4 |

Yes! A county board that cherishes the principle of fairness for all members and exposes the naked greed of croke park. Kildare have won the all Ireland already. Good on ye Kildare. handpassking (Galway) - Posts: 444 - 25/06/2018 19:56:23 2114910 Link 4 |
