Another Sunday another big crowd at Dunganny this time for the SHC meeting between Ratoath and Trim

With the completion of round 5 it’s down to the semi finals and finals in the Meath hurling championships.

Kilmessan are back in the senior decider for the first time in 13 years. They will play the winners of holders Ratoath and Kiltale. Kilskyre/Moylagh were in the Senior B final after round 4. The North Meath combination will take on an ever improving Dunderry or Longwood for a place at the top table next year. Rathmolyon’s opponents in the IHC with be Clann na nGael or Drumree while Wolfe Tones will take on Boardsmill or Trim in the IHC B final. 

Kildalkey and St. Pats will contest the Junior final. Dunderry take on Donaghmore Ashbourne in the Junior B decider.

Sunday: Despite suffering their first defeat Kilmessan are through to their first senior hurling championship final in 13 years. They will meet Kiltale or Ratoath in the final. Eoin Flanagan was the hero for the Jubilee Cup holders with three second half goals. Na Fianna are relegated but they made Kiltale work very hard for the win at Longwood.

Kilskyre/Moylagh will play either Dunderry or Longwood in the senior B final. Dunderry turned in a brilliant second half display to see off Killyon at Kildalkey. Despite suffering their third defeat of the campaign Longwood advance to the semi final.

Saturday: Rathmolyon completed the group stages of the Intermediate Hurling Championship with a 100% winning record. In doing so the Village ended Dunboyne’s hopes of a place in the knockout stages. Clann na nGael and Drumree will have to do it all over again in the semi final. The Athboy/Rathcairn outfit had two points to spare at Lomans Park. Gaeil Colmcille are relegated to Junior.

Friday: Wolfe Tones topped the group and are back in the Intermediate B Hurling Championship final after their 10 point win over holders Kildalkey. They will play either Boardsmill or Trim in the decider. The town side defeated the ‘Mill’ last night in Longwood but they will have to do it all over again in the semi final.

St. Pats advanced to the Junior Hurling Championship with a big win over Ratoath. They take on Drumree or Kildlakey in the decider.

Thursday: Dunderry are back in the Junior B hurling championship final after their big win over Longwood. They lost out to na Fianna in last years decider at Pairc Tailteann. Donaghmore Ashbourne will provide final day opposition on Friday 25th September.
